So I got a veepeak reader or whatever it's called and downloaded the OBD fusion app. All I really want is to see if the engine is missing. How the heck do I do that? I can't figure it out!

There's a much easier way to do that. Just pop the hood and look!

I can't remember if knock is reported in the Standard SAE PIDs or if you need the add-on for the Taco?

But, just add a display and search it for misfires.

    Edit for a screenshot:

Yeah I was wondering if I could get away with not purchasing the specific taco one.

Adding to this, is there a way to clear Learned data through OBD fusion?

Sorry, but it was worth it to me. Lots of good info.

No. You can clear DTCs. Learn Values are a different function that are only found in the TechStream and vF software.

Why are you looking to see if there is a miss in the engine? Anything specific?

Cause I get that fast yo-yo feeling around 40mph and 65mph. I think now after researching it is the torque converter. I ended up buying the Toyota pack for the fusion app and didn’t see any misses recorded. There’s a way to monitor the torque converter but I haven’t had time to figure it out yet.

I think that you are on target with the TC. There is a PID for that. See the 1st Post here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/obd-fusion-tips-and-tricks.590248/#post-19721176

The only issue is that the stutter that you are feeling can be happening faster than an OBD device can poll it. If you want to attempt to see / log this, create a dashboard with as few PIDs as possible as each additional one will reduce the data rate.
