Getting oil changed at the dealership and spotted this.....

There is no way I’m giving up my 21 LunaRock Tundra Pro for the new one. Especially since it’s paid for. And even if I got one for msrp I still won’t give mine up. No interest in one. I cannot believe people are dropping insane money on these.

 

I’m a big fan of the “less is more” approach to aesthetics but those days are long gone.

 

Jesus f*<#%ng Christ. You could get a taco and an ev. It would be sort of like having a hybrid. But the mpg would be better. How is 21mpg with a hybrid an improvement? None of this makes sense.

 

I don’t know the specifics, but that is how I got my Tacoma sooner rather later. Dealer bought as a fleet vehicle, put 12-15 miles on it, then made it certified used. Wasn’t too crazy about a brand new truck labeled as used, but hey didn’t have to wait all that long to get it either. They got it to me in 5 weeks, where Ford was 3-6 months out.

 

Have a couple friends who have 2nd Gen Tundras…they get 13-18. It is an improvement, but in typical Toyota fashion it is done in small increments.

 

i think these new tundra's are ugly AF, no matter the color. the entire design is hideous, not just the front. this is not one that'll grow on me.

with the ugly design, high sticker price, and poor fuel mileage, you have to wonder how this was approved and made it through development. i don't care what the HP and torq specs are, how someone thought this was a winner and would increase market share or strengthen the brand is beyond me.

what they call a 'refresh' will be happening soon. this current design doesn't make it two years without a major refresh.

Not my style. I prefer light bar on roof rack like I have now on my Tacoma. After I get an aftermarket bumper, I may get light bar under the grille.

 

I can guarantee, I won't be...

At that price you could have 2 Tacoma TRDs.
If someone will pay that they will continue to price them out like that.
Don't buy it and watch the price come down when they just sit on the lot.
I had a chance to see a maroon one the other day and my first impression was damn that thing is ugly.
I'll pass.

I figure test drives are a lot like job interviews, a lot of lies and overstatement of capability that has no relation to how it will operate on a day to day basis.

I actually like the color, but yes the shape is an uggo.

 

People willing to spend that much money on a truck either have too much money, or not enough...thus causing financial hardship onto their families. If you have to borrow money to purchase a vehicle then you need to reconsider what you are doing and why. The only car loan I ever had was back in the early 1970's for my first car.

 

The color is nice, should be an option for the Tacoma, But the body...

 

2017/2018 has inferno on Tacomas.
