To those that went....how was the timeline and locations? Other than the first night, what changes were made?

Lion Rock to 25 mile above Lk Chelan would have been a stretch. We pushed to the cliffs behind Mission Ridge a mile or so before the washout. We left early around 8:30-9:00 and skipped the Wenatchee to Cashmere section and started up Chum Stick. We made it to camp by 4:30 at the GPS area above the Lake. * Edit once we had Tony and nobody was meeting us we left earlier and took more time for pictures and lunch BS sessions. We got fuel when we needed it and didn’t hang out exactly to the plan at gas stations to make things easier and work in our favor. We wanted our cake and eat it too.

Right on. I tried to map out stopping areas but it is hard using gmaps. Glad you were able to make it work

No sense wasting time in town if it's not needed

Further more…. the Packwood detour over 410 actually worked freaking awesome in my opinion. We ran up the bypass to the south end of Bethel right at the beginning of the sweet stuff before it drops out the switchbacks. We started with dessert and after hitting the woods got into the meat and potatoes with Cleaman/Oak wild life and Baby head. We camped up on top Cleaman on the 640 Rd. I’ll talk to you about it up at Gallagher Lk. A little tweaking and it would be dialed in. That Day 3 was going to be brutal and Bear Lk was too quick probably would have been there 2-2:30

1C016C25-CEF0-42D9-8A7D-0415655B7FD3.jpg Skipping that put us ontop Chum Stick at Noon for lunch here. Pretty sweet spot to grab a bite.9AB37837-9C94-4974-B2B7-525CE78BCA24.jpg For the purest wanting to do the whole thing that section kinda screws up the day. For some guys wanting a killer trip without fighting it too much and ending up at awesome camp sites 4:30-5 with time to smell the roses it works.

    Here is my Gaia track

    https://www.gaiagps.com/public/uJmTbLXGA1cWynvjtsn0zHtY

I forgot to start recording leaving the Chelan camp spot. I just got back from dropping my wife off at the airport and have curriculum night at my daughters school in an hour so I’ll come back and update/answer questions later. I ended up cutting out this morning at the Conconully gas station and @stonylaroux as going to continue on toward the boarder. I’m not sure how I got nominated by Nate and Ron to lead the drive but I had a ton of fun at the front. I think being in the lead is a little more stressful as you are more focused on the track than being able to soak in the beauty of the area. We tried to have wheels rolling each morning by 9 and it worked out in our favor. We kept lunches to a reasonable time and did try to limit our stoppage time at the gas stations. I think the key to drives like this is being firm yet flexible. Plan a time with everyone to be up and rolling and then just manage the stoppage time for pictures and chit chat. We had plenty of opportunities to sit around and chat and we used them but at some point you have to kinda nudge the group to get going again. The drive was awesome and having conversations with someone from out of our area was good. Having Sam ( @Tacoma San Diego ) there was a good chance for all of us to hear about some different perspectives. I think we will have lots to talk about at Gallagher in a couple weeks.

Too funny shadowhunter. Wow what a great time for me. Thanks to all who went for making me feel welcome and sharing your knowledge and the beauty of Washington. It was an amazing trip for me that I will long remember. Hopefully I can make it up again when the skies are a bit clearer and I learn to drive my camera better.

Working it out with Icon. Through Scott at Michael’s Toyota. Sitting on a plane right now. Don’t know if I’ll make Gallagher.
