3rd Gen Factory Interior LED Upgrade

Why you want only factory? There are cheap leds on Amazon and other websites which are mentioned above. They are same as factory leds. Toyota does not care what bulbs you use in the lights.

I got mine from Amazon. I went through the oil change service at the dealer... they say nothing about my led change.


If they aren't happy about it, then forget them and go to different dealer or any local oil change shop.

 

Are you sure its a Toyota factory option? And not simply the distributor aka mafia shit? The who are very different but people get them confused all the time, like the TSS Tacoma is not a factory option but a distributor BS stickers n wheels kit. Anything “port” or distributor installed you can guarantee is overpriced junk that’s forced on the dealerships.

 

I think led upgrade option is for headlights... I don't see led upgrade option for maps/dome.

Unless SE Toyota do that in their Tacoma which a poster above mentioned that.

 

I think it’s a dealer thing.

like tinted windows. Dealer gets the truck, takes it to a local tint shop then adds 50+% as an add on.
Not sure if the regional SR5 trims are similar like the tss packages have been for gulf states

I don't necessarily only want factory. I have been having some lighting issues and was going to pull out my current lights and replace it with factory but I was just curious what the factory LED options were. I ended up ordering some Diode Dynamics bulbs and will have those put on tomorrow

 

Vanity lights are SYLVANIA 6612F.

 

I was just about to suggest Diode Dynamics. They had the best fit in the rear dome base of any I tried.

 

Yeah i had that issue when i first ordered some Amazon bulbs and realized the dome light wouldnt fit. I had it to get a few MM smaller.

 

I installed this set, and it works great to this day. Can’t beat the price.

 

Yeah.. It's a distributor/port installed option in SET. Its overpriced because Toyota has to warranty it for 3/36k. So they do some checking on quality before they select a supplier for an.accessory.

Im also curious if the kit can be ordered from the parts counter in Florida.

 

Phillips 194 LED for map and plate lights from your local parts store. Some of the other brands are way too bright.
