Trying to decide which to have first, it’s a two bourbon kinda night.

Also, going on a work trip out of state and called ahead to some liquor stores (this is how you know you have a problem, BTW). I have two Joseph Magnus Cigar Blends set aside for me at $160 apiece. This is in a non-controlled state. Price is below the state controlled price. Makes no sense. Secondary is sky high.

I was less impressed with the Makers Mark Cask than regular old Makers. I may be the only one but I rarely buy high proof in anything anymore. To me its fine if you having maybe 2 fingers and calling it a night, but I find more and more I am dropping to lower proof and enjoying maybe a little more. I will tell you though I have found age (my own) to be a factor.

Lets goooooo. Definitely seems like a potential camp out situation. Would love to try one of those bottles though.

I’ve gone in the opposite direction, more and more what I like is the higher proof stuff…I had regular Maker’s last week, it was ok. The cask strength tonight, as always, is delicious. But to each their own, all that matters is what you like.

    Same.

I'd go lower proof ---> high proof. I tend to find myself let down when going from more potent to less potent.

May be an issue of quantity LOL I did the same with beer, went through a period of drinking anything with a aitor in the name, but a 6'er of an aitor is not that enjoyable to me any more, LOL

I have never been much of a makers fan, but the 46 cask strength was my personal favorite

I’m definitely not crushing high proof….slow sipper. I’d intended to follow up that Maker’s with the Larceny BP and it ain’t happening. Nice warm buzz and to bed I go.

Good score. The 10 year is one of my favorites. Been on the hunt for the SiB bourbon for a while

ha yeah anything from that case is no thanks from me but their selection was impressive and because of it a lot of the less popular but still really good stuff was at or close to MSRP even if it’s semi hard to find elsewhere. Will be visiting that store more often for sure. Had to drop the pets off to wife’s parents tonight so I blew through Flemington twice and will need to again in a week.
