    One of the best purchases I made this year turned an old beat up AR that wouldn't get used much into a fun precision range rig.

    Not trying to start an argument by any means. Just saw an email for sale on Geissele for the Labor Day weekend. Their upper is in the 5-6 hundred range so I might grab one for my lower that’s been lonely for a few years. They’re a decent enough company/brand? It’s just a general purpose all around AR. Not shooting comps but want something reliable at the minimum.

    What upper did you find from them in that price range? Only one I see at that price is a 16” black upper. Everything else I saw was 900-1300$ range

    Yup it was the 16 inch Duty upper in black. I’m looking for a black upper. Ideally 14.5 so after muzzle device I’m at pinned minimum but for the price I was tempted.

    EDIT - I live in the boring state of MA so the fun shopping is extremely limited.

    Nice, that should be a great setup. I wanna do a 13.7 recce rifle for my next build. At least I think I can do a 13.7”…. I’m from CA. The struggle is real here too. Everything Geissele makes is quality.


    Those are so nice, love the colorations. I’m a Noveske and Geissele fanboy myself.

    the multiple profiles "should" hold across the different guns as long as you're mounting in the same place. i haven't done that much with mine yet though.
