There is a Field and Stream store I will be stopping at but that place is ridiculously expensive. Also taking Dad to lunch . He’s 81 and still working part time at the Home Depot .

 

Wow . Back in 2016 I had 10 rips (tears) in my left retina and a partial detachment . They did a vitrectomy ( Google or YouTube it ) mine was 3.5 hour surgery which might be what you had also .Then about a year later I had 3 rips in my right retina that they lasered right in the office chair . That hurt . I ended up having slight double vision 99% of the time unless I close one eye lots of floaters in the right eye also . Turned my Class A CDL in a few years ago . Retired in 2017 . It’s crazy how busy these eye doctors are around here also .Hopeyour vision is good now

My retina detached and reattached somehow when I was young - maybe at birth or in utero - the doctors don't know. So, I had lots of scarring in my left eye and little peripheral vision. Maybe that's why I was so clumsy as a kid. LOL. I 2019 my same left eye detached from the bottom (which affects your vision above your head) and the doctor did that emergency laser surgery - with the hope it would hold. The needle they stuck in my eye was the biggest I have ever seen. The procedure didn't work, so I had to have surgery about 4 weeks later and then a follow up procedure since the doctor put a gas in my eye, to hold it while it healed. This automatically caused a cataract in that eye. Because my eyes are so divergent, the doctor recommended a contact for my left eye but I couldn't get the hang of it. Recently I got a pair of glasses where the left lens is like a magnifying glass and makes everything much larger. My vision is slight double vision without my corrective lenses. The doctor told me once an eye has detached the likelihood of the other eye detaching is greater. You don't appreciate your sight until it is threatened. I wish you well with your vision issues. By the way, my doctor also told me that once you have issues you should be very careful with any violent throwing motion, like shoveling snow, because something that benign can detach the retina.

Well the eye Dr had to reschedule my appointment. I was wondering why they neglected to call yesterday with a reminder
