Uni filter makes a filter to replace the foam mesh in the secondary breather in the 2012+ trucks. Apparently those mesh foam inserts for the filter degrade over time and gave people issues with them being sucked into the engine. Tacomaholic made a video about install and whatnot. Was literally a 5 minute install. I'll share that here

Thanks for all the info. I really don't know much about suspension which is why I needed some help. I would like to ditch the Dakar my girlfriend is about to kill me with all the squeaking from it. New isolators would help but I have been reading they wont last to long in them. So a new pack is a good idea. I have not weighed my truck yet but it has been on my list for a while now. You got me now leaning towards the deavers for sure. My set up wont get any lighter so I need to just buy once (more) and cry a little more.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
You have the new HD style Dakar pack, yes? the one with a steel shim between each leaf at the center pin and plastic isolators at the leaf tips? If so, it is very easy to wedge a couple of screwdrivers between each leaf, progressively open it up when the truck is jacked up, and put a dab of moly grease on each tip isolator, that will quiet it down. My sqeaking from that pack was minimal and I only did that grease thing once. If the squeak is coming from the bushings on the other hand, that is harder to deal with. On the install of my deaver pack, I actually drilled and tapped each spring eye for a zerk fitting, and have one already in my shackle. So now all three bushings on the rear of the truck are greasable, and have a grease gun dedicated for silicone based superlube for the bushings I have all around the truck with zerks (which include LCA, swaybars F&R, and rear springs. Of course ball joints and u-joints don't use superlube, so still have a grease gun for moly lube on those.

Got my 4 inch glass in a day early. ADV rocks and they are 100% damage free. Got in less than 2 weeks all the way accross the country. Mcneil took 2 months and was full of damage.

New X2 Power battery. Previous Northstar was 4 or 5 years old and I was getting slow starts even after a full charge with the Noco. Still going to keep it and see if it’ll power my fridge for a couple days :notsure:

…Still need to do my Powertrays and clean up the wiring…

Why bother anyway. Dealer replaced several of the associated components and the filter on our 2012 last month as a recall.

Saw your market post and almost bought them! Been in the market after my wheel fell off and damaged one of the bedsides. So close but short bed. Let me know how the fitment is, thinking about going with Advance too but am holding off until i come back from baja so I can save on the $450 shipping to Wisconsin
