IMO it's a lot harder to learn than mig, my welds still suck really, but practice makes perfect! and your right, they are a hell of a lot cheaper!

Looks real sharp man. I like the angle pieces where it veers off to the sides it's pointer instead of more curved which is nice.

I actually put my HID's back in, I found out that DDM sent them to me, built wrong haha, the shield was upside down, so I put the headlight in upside down so the shield was facing the right way. anyways, got em in and they're great!

I'm excited to do my hella's for the highway distance lighting.

WOW, awesome truck man! I cant believe I havnt seen this one yet... I can always appreciate a build with good quality photos.

I live in Alberta now, but Im from Nelson BC originally. I plan on doing some wheeling out that way this summer, maybe ill roam up to K-town and you can show me some trails!

Your trip along the Western states totally made me jealous! haha me and my cousin drove from Van. down the pacific coast highway all the way to San Diego and back home through Vegas etc... Such a cool drive!

Keep up the good work on the Taco! Cheers

    Alright Duratracs!

    road noise:
great, not loud whatsoever in my tire size. 265/75R16

    dry traction:
great! no problems whatsoever, they do float a bit when you get going too fast! (150km/h)

    ice traction:
they are significantly better on corners than my bfg a/t's. where I would have slid around a corner with the bfg's, the duratracs hold on tight!

    snow traction:
descent, they do pretty well in all types of snow, but I would say the bfg a/t's were better in the deeper snow.

I have not aired them down, but I think they would float nicely on the harder packed snow if aired down to 12ish psi.

would I buy again? maybe! I had great success with the bfg a/t's. 50,000km, 0 flat tires, great traction off road even as they got to the end of their life, quiet on road. only gripe is they threw rocks like a mofo on dirt roads.

no report on dry dirt roads or mud with the duratracs
