Come on now. It’s very easy to get distracted by pretty girls walking by. Phones are nearly as pretty.

Just check your pants for brown stains. If there's nothing, then you're fine.

OP, no worries. What you did was start the Pads and Rotors Bedding process.

the times that the collision warning has activated the truck starts braking by itself and i pressed the pedal even more. that is not gonna harm your truck and luckily the good old ABS will help not skidd that much

The truck performed exactly how it was engineered to perform.

Yeah, that was my first thought. Isn't ABS standard on just about every new vehicle these days?

At least you were not trying to quickly parallel park, and the vehicle slams on the brakes.

    Tacomas might not do that.

I bet in was a good test to see what was unsecured in the cab. I've seen stuff fly.

He probably noticed the initial lockup prior to the pulsing/release of the brakes. ABS brakes can leave light patches of skid marks on a road when emergency hard braking.

I envy you in a Mercedes Sprinter. We had to deal with these monstrosities with a Ford E450 chassis. It was like emergency braking a top heavy whale.

To the OP, as others have said, you should be fine. It happens.

If he wasn't texting/playing with his phone he wouldn't have been so obviously intentionally vague about what distracted him. Obvious conclusion is obvious.

The ABS can be violent to some people, probably scared him.

Is this another OP Scooby thread? Gone?

I think we gotta all give OP a break and welcome them him to the group.

I can’t imagine the minefield of nonsense you gotta navigate to grow up in the world these days.

Asking about your truck and gaining knowledge about it is admirable and should be encouraged.

Buying a truck rather than a Prius is also a great start.
