the times that the collision warning has activated the truck starts braking by itself and i pressed the pedal even more. that is not gonna harm your truck and luckily the good old ABS will help not skidd that much

He probably noticed the initial lockup prior to the pulsing/release of the brakes. ABS brakes can leave light patches of skid marks on a road when emergency hard braking.

I envy you in a Mercedes Sprinter. We had to deal with these monstrosities with a Ford E450 chassis. It was like emergency braking a top heavy whale.

The ABS can be violent to some people, probably scared him.

Ah yes , cause no one every got distracted before cell phones were a thing and no one over 30 gets in an accident.
