And then going back to my grandparents' lakehouse in Maine and my aunt who's a lesbian, I was up there for a few weeks in the summer of 2003. My aunt and her girlfriend came up.

My grandma's house is in Acton, and there is this store called Marden's not too far away in Sanford. At the time, there was a buy here pay here lot next to Marden's, and while my grandma and my aunt were shopping at Marden's, my aunt's girlfriend Sue and I went over to check out the inventory at the car lot. One of the the vehicles they had on the lot was a mid-1990s Pontiac Sunfire (rebadged Cavalier for those who do not know). The Pontiac was a 4-door model, and dark green if I remember correctly. This was a car lot, so as far I was concerned, it was an open invitation to press my face against the window of any vehicle that interested me and peer inside. I don't know why a worn out green Pontiac with no wheel covers interested me, but it did.

I have seen some incredibly basic Cavaliers and Sunfires over the years, including a 1997ish 4-door Cavalier that belonged to a coworker's friend, but all of them had A/C. That car had crank windows, an AM/FM radio with no CD or cassette, and no tilt steering, but it had A/C. This was 2016, the car was about a decade old, and the A/C did not work, but it did have A/C. @shakerhood bought just such a Cavalier for an ex-girlfriend and upgraded the stereo in it...

This shitty green Sunfire DID NOT HAVE A/C! I was absolutely shocked! I can't remember if it was an automatic or a manual transmission, but it had the standard Delco AM/FM stereo with no CD or cassette, and no A/C! If I remember correctly, Sue seemed pretty dumbfounded as to why the car didn't have A/C as well. My aunt doesn't have a lot of money, but even the shittiest vehicles she's owned over the last 25 years have had factory A/C the worked, including the worn out 1993 Pathfinder that she had when she and Sue drove up to Maine in the summer of 2003. The transmission failed on the Pathfinder when she had one more payment left on it (She'd bought it in 1999 or so and financed it), and she couldn't afford to fix the transmission, so she voluntarily surrended it back to the bank... o_O

Another thing I noticed on that buy here pay here lot back in 2003 was that even some of the newer vehicles had cancer, better known as rust; I can remember Sue looking at a 1995ish Ford F150 on that lot and pointing out that it had "cancer".

Vehicles newer than the late 1990s don't seem to rot in Maine like they do in upstate New York, but "rust" in New England is a completely different animal compared to what I've seen in the Northeast. The rustiest vehicles I've ever seen were, without a doubt, what I saw driving around Syracuse when I was there this past July.

She was probably mad you liked some other girl and not her only.

Never, ever, ever, ever, answer any question asked by a female, that pertains to ANOTHER female.
There is not a right answer, only more questions.
And none of the “more” questions have a correct answer. It’s a trap.

As for racism, You have to remember I was raised in the south.
I’ve heard it all, and it all BS.

Color doesn’t make a difference to me.

She had a good-looking country boy with a driver's license and his own truck. I'm overweight, and didn't have a driver's license at the time; I highly doubt she cared if I liked her or not. The funny thing is that I did kind of have a crush on her until she revealed herself to be a bigot. Blonde hair, big boobs, and a curvaceous figure mean nothing to me if they belong to a racist. On another note, contrary to the stereotypes about blonde women, she wasn't stupid.

But prior to the racist remark, I did want to bang her, like really badly; I was 17 years old when I first met her and to say that I thought she was merely hot would be an understatement...

Which brought me here. This is where I started to smell a rat, especially because my stereo stuff is coming via UPS and not USPS...

On another note, the two buttons circled in blue do not work when clicked on, further indicating that this very legit-looking USPS site is fake...

And in addition to the fact that I'm not expecting anything from USPS, that tracking number does not match my tracking number from Crutchfield. I also regularly got obviously fake texts saying that my Amazon account had been suspended because my credit card had been declined; I ignored those and I started getting similar texts regarding my Netflix account. The joke is on them because while my parents have a Netflix account, I do not...

This has gone from an annoying fact of life that comes with having a cellphone to legitimately obnoxious! I'm also getting calls almost daily from a realistic-sound bot named Christine from National Disability who wants me to sign up for SSDI. I do technically qualify for SSDI because I have Aspergers, but I have a job and health insurance, and I refuse to leech off of the government when I am able-bodied and capable of working!

    :annoyed:

My mom just texted me this picture, confirming that my Crutchfield package arrived safe and sound just minutes ago!

My phone number has been bought and sold so many times I've lost count. It's an election year so I'm getting tons of political texts, which aren't scams but just plain annoying. As for how they knew my order, I don't think they did. Like I told my mom, it was probably just a very inconvenient and unlucky coincidence.

The most annoying scenario I've ever encountered was in August 2019 when I entered a drawing to win a new Chevy Silverado at MusicFest in Bethlehem. The vehicles were being provided by a local dealership in that area; I didn't think I'd win, but whatever...

In November 2019, as in almost two months after I'd entered to win the truck and by which time I'd forgotten about, an excited-sounding woman left me a voicemail saying she was from Sundance Vacations and had exciting news; I believe she mentioned the truck giveaway in the voicemail, so I knew how she got my info, but I was confused at first about how entering to win a truck had anything to do with a timeshare company.

Just for grins, I called the number back, and my suspicions were confirmed. If I'm remembering correctly, they were willing to send me to either Florida or Vegas for free, but I had to be at least 21 and make at least fifty grand a year. I was 30 at the time, but making nowhere near fifty grand a year. She's like "Oh, you can bring someone along who does meet the income requirements."

    Yeah, no...

She told me I had a year to redeem this offer (so until November 2020), but COVID came along in March 2020 and I haven't heard from them since. Good riddance!

And then I don't know how familiar you are with Cabela's...? For those who do not know, they merged with Bass Pro Shops. There is a huge Cabela's in Hamburg, about an hour and a half from my house; I love going there and have been there twice this year, but there's one thing I don't like so much...

Both times they had these pushy and obnoxious salespeople for a timshare group called BlueGreen vacations with a booth set up in the center of the store. I go out of my way to avoid this kiosk, and don't make eye contact; I manage to avoid these sales reps, but most people don't. There are probably eight to ten there at any given time, and they are absolutely fucking relentless. This Cabela's allows customers to bring their dogs in, and not just service dogs. The last time I went there, which was this past Memorial Day with two friends on our way from Centralia, I approached a cute 20-something girl walking her dog in the store; I asked if the dog was friendly and if I could pet it, to which she said yes. I was petting this dog and carrying on a friendly conversation with the attractive owner, when one of the assholes from the BlueGreen kiosk came up and interrupted us to ask if she was interested in one of their vacation packages. She politely, but rather annoyedly, told him no...

So yeah, unless it's a 50/50 raffle at a car show, I don't sign up for shit! :luvya:

Also, here's a story from that Memorial Day 2022 Centralia/Cabela's trip with my two buddies that proves dogs are among the greatest judges of character...

As stated above, that particular Cabela's allows dogs inside the building. I was on the second floor and there was this woman with an average-sized mixed breed. I forget what I was talking to her about, but this little boy showed up and asked if he could pet the dog. She (the dog) was a rescue, and the owner mentioned that the dog was not vicious, but because she was a rescue she was very wary of children. The little boy attempted to approach the dog, but she growled at him. The owner obviously told him that petting the dog would be a bad idea, and this kid couldn't seem to comprehend what the issue was, but ultimately walked away.

I happened to kneel so I could tie my shoe, and this same dog that had growled at the little boy came right up to me. She started rubbing against me and licking me, so I petted her for a few minutes.

My dog Porter is also a rescue and a bit wary of strangers, though he actually prefers kids to strange adults. He loves the kids who live in my neighborhood, and he willingly lets strange kids he meets at car shows and on walks pet him; Porter is more wary of adult men than of adult women, but he met my ex-girlfriend like three different times and wouldn't come anywhere near her. He would back away from her, tuck his tail between his legs, and let out a combination bark/growl. Three times, and he wouldn't let her touch him. On the other hand, Porter was letting my friend Colleen (just a longtime friend who happens to be a female and not a girlfriend) pet him within an hour of meeting her for the first time. What does that tell you?!?!

And I've only ever been with white women, but I seem to gravitate towards Asian and Black women; I have no idea why...

Unless it's my friend Anna, I also have serious reservations about dating another woman who's on the autism spectrum, because the last three autistic girls I've dated have proven themselves to be rather difficult individuals. The first two had issues, but they were genuinely good people. The third one, as you know, is a dumpster fire with severe mental issues on top of autism. All my most recent partner cared about was (A) having a guy to work and pay the bills so she didn't have to, and (B) getting sex whenever she wanted it...

I'm going to a huge custom van show at the Schuylkill Country Fairgrounds this Saturday, and it's less than an hour from Centralia, so I might go up there again! I've been there three times this year already, but the third time was with my friends John and Dave in John's car, and my truck has't been up to Centralia since before the door got replaced; I will NOT be off-roading it on the gravel trail to the extent that I did back in March...
