At the lake boat launch ramp in front of a lot of people when trying to pull a heavy boat on an incline out and not having enough low down torque to do so. It touched me in all the wrong embarrassing places

I’m still experiencing this. It happens a lot when rolling slow in a parking lot or in stop and go traffic. I can make it better by easing on the throttle really slowly.

I’m going to mention this to Toyota at my next service.

How did they check the fluid level? Pretty known for these to come 1-2qts low on tranny fluid. Also, get a tune

    I'm a little confused...
First it was only noticeable down an incline; but later, in a parking lot, you can make it better by easing into it?

What's up with the RPM rise as stated in the first post? Like it hit neutral for a brief moment?
One of the things that can cause that is low line pressure, of which there are a few causes. The most common being low fluid. Have you had the fluid level properly checked?

    A few.
My 2019 does it even after a tune. There is a certain area on my way to work where there is a longer hill followed by a long level stretch of road.

Mg 2009 tacoma had a similar but not exact behavior. They did some type of tsb on it with a reflash and it took care of it

My 2020 does it on the same hill before a curve I always slow down for. It's on the route I usually take coming home with groceries in the back seat. I don't want to sling our eggs out and break everywhere. So, I'd say it's normal since mine does it at the same place on that hill every time I go through

A buddies 2019 trd did the same thing when taking a slow corner. My 2020 doesn't do it on the same corner. It is weird how these trucks perform. He was told it was just common to that model.

Enviously reading? uhh, do you know what that word means? I clicked on this post because it was on the homepage, no need to get so defensive over your mini-van motor.
