Sounds like a nice little side trip after or before the show, good idea to stay on the beaten path this time

 

I'm trying to get Anna to go up to Centralia with me. She says she doesn't want to date me because I'm too old for her (I was born in March 1989 and she was born sometime in 1997), but she texts me regularly and seems to confide a lot of things in me. I've also experimented when we went to see Thor: Love and Thunder last weekend, by putting my hand on her shoulder and stuff to see if she resisted or pulled away. She did not.

My friend Jeff (who also has Aspergers like me and is married with four kids) says one of the most important things to consider when entering a serious relationship is whether or not you can see yourself with this person in fifty years. Even if my last girlfriend was mentally stable, she was not marriage material for numerous other reasons. Anna, however, is someone I could see myself with in fifty years. She is a total sweetheart, incredible attractive, highly intelligent, and shares the same beliefs and values.

 

I've got a lady friend from middle school who is my age and dating a guy about ten years older than you...

That weirds me out a bit, but they are both consenting adults so it's fine; I'm trying to convince Anna that there is nothing wrong with dating someone older than you. Also, by the time I'm ready to have kids, women my age will be close to hitting menopause...

 

Yeah age isn't that big of a deal, my ex-fiance was 7 years younger than me.

 

Good riddance to vile rubbish. I hate that shit.

Funny story about that though..guy I used to work with (not directly, but knew him through friends) once put 2 black ladies he managed on a corrective action plan. They made a big fuss and said he was discriminating based on race and sex. No, they were not doing their jobs..thankfully he was very meticulous about documenting issues if they arose with anybody. Instead of accepting it, they dragged it to Human Resources. They sat down with the HR person and my friend opened the meeting stating that he would like to get to know them better as people outside of work. He mentioned being married, having a stepson, and twins with his wife (one boy one girl)..talked a little about the kids' interests and family hobbies. Then he showed them a family picture in his wallet. His wife and stepson were dark black and his twins were half white/half black.

Jeff is right. No doubt.

Age matters more to some than others. My wife is almost 13 years my senior.

 

I kissed a 52-year old blonde woman at a bar when I was 22, though she was drunk and kinda forced herself on me...

 

Funny shit with my wife's family.

Wife's twin sister married her high school sweetheart, they're maybe a year apart (he's older).
My wife married me, 13 years younger than her.
Wife's younger sister married a guy 13 years older than her.


My niece (twin's daughter) met her current boyfriend when she was 22-23 and he was 36. Her mom was a little apprehensive, my wife said "oh just because you stuck to your age doesn't mean we all do, look at the 2 of us (her and the younger sis). Hahaha

I was going to start a new thread and do a play-play, but my neighbors' kids (as in two daughters from two separate families on my culdesac) came over to play with Porter because I had him outside, and they wanted to climb in the bed of the truck and play...

So, ultimately ended up putting the current radio back in. Why? The new one doesn't have to e ability to change the backlight color (which is part of why it was cheaper than the other Pioneer head units), and the iPod interface is as slow as molasses. However, this was supposed to be a scratch and dent special, and I got it for $240 instead of the $270 list price. This thing has no noticeable damage and works fine, so I am going to keep it as a spare. I bought the scratch and dent unit because there were new ones left due to supply chain issues and the chip shortage. If things keep going the way they are, I have a feeling I'll be able to sell this practically new unit for a profit!

 

Crutchfield sent me the wrong backup camera, so I'm gonna have to deal with that tomorrow...

 

I initially freaked out because I thought this was a cheapo unit that didn't have subwoofer hookups, but it turns out that Pioneer has changed its interface to this much-simpler harness...

 

My cousin's friend gave me an autographed CD, which I put in the CD player for the drive home Rochester. The CD provided a little over an hour of entertainment, then I switched to my iPod and never took it out until now, when I thought I was permanently replacing my current head unit...

 

This thing is in damn good shape for being a discounted "scratch and dent" special...

 

I actually do like this wiring harness better...

 

Nice unit, but frustrating that it retails for the same price as the unit it was supposed to replace went for in 2018 and lacks the ability to change the backlight color...

 

So yeah, I ultimately ended up putting my HU that's over 4 years old back in...
