How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Not to stir the pot, but if I had been waiting many months (like more than 3), and trucks were allocated with the paint color but the discontinuation of the paint ended up being the thing that killed the allocation, I'd be upset, and I would contact the Toyota "Engagement" Center and I would engage them (politely of course) in how that's not a good look, and would expect them to help the dealership get you into a suitable to you replacement ASAP. Under those circumstances, one might even expect Toyota would compensate another dealership to do a trade... I can understand QA/QC holds, and parts shortages, but paint? OK, only if that color is somehow being used on military assets destined for the Ukraine or on those replenishing assets here in the states and elsewhere because of that initiative...

Well I can build a 2023 Tacoma, I built a 2022 Tacoma in September of last year, and still no Allocation from my deposit in November of 2021. I hope to have a Tacoma by 2024 I guess

 

Are you able to see if it is going on rail or semi from here?

I think that method of getting a Tacoma is a sure way to be unsuccessful.
Look around your area at the dealerships that have allocations that are not spoken for.
Be willing to "settle" for not the exact truck you "built".
I think it will be some time before you can actually build your dream vehicle and have it roll off the assembly line.

In most cases you can actually have your dream vehicle built. Toyota just choses to be archaic and doesn't believe that a customer or dealer should be able to order a vehicle the way they want. Our last 3 Audis were ordered and built exactly as we wanted, along with our last Ford and Mini Cooper.

Toyota has generally continued Pro colors for only 1-3 additional years (usually 2) on the lower trims. AG came out in 2020 on the Pro so 2 additional years would be right in line with their usual practice. Plus they probably didn't want to offer so many greens (ELM + AG + LR) simultaneously.

 

Have you checked the kissmygrits nationwide spreadsheet? I noticed a spike in army green tacos listed within the past couple weeks.

 

@Mikestill Is long bed a must-have for you? If you are willing to go short then it may actually be easier to find a Pro which will have the advanced tech package I know you are also looking for as standard. Toyota seems to be producing lower trim vehicles with the basic technology packages again after a tech hiatus of several months, but I don't know if they will allocate front/360 cameras to Sport/OR trims with any significant frequency before end of 3rd generation production (though it does happen occasionally, as some fellow members have posted here).

I know you have had the longest wait of anyone here, and really hope you get your dream build soon.
