    While you still have those 8, you should go and replace the rivets with larger ones. Those tiny ones in there now can't even handle shipment.
    The box / packaging was not damaged.



    Can you offer a solution?

    Great job on the customer service aspect!!

    Those rivets will be all of .30 cents. No need at all for you send any refund. I'll get the replacements installed and move on.
    I'll attempt to use larger size, as I suggested. But of course will watch closely for any interference with the Jerry can itself.

    I mentioned that the outside of the package showed no sign of damage. I'm sure this happened because of the way the two holders were stacked in relation to each other. The top one simply wedged itself into the opening of this failed one, forcing a shear action to the rivets. That could have happened just by sitting the package down a bit too hard in a longitudinal direction. (Like smacking an axe handle bottom on the ground to seat the axe head.) Larger rivets might have endured that thump. ???

    No big deal as long as my installation of rivets works out. Thank You for the offer of a partial refund though! Nice!

    2 rivets on one of the holders that I recently ordered were also broken. No damage to shipping box. I plan on trying new rivets, too.

    Mine showed up today, the rivets held up during shipping. Everything looks good. I might hit it with some more paint then get it installed this weekend.
