Dave's log. Day 92.

Theresa and I are held captive in a small stateroom near the lower decks. We have a window. It some times has better programming than the TV. Meals are delivered. Divorce imminent.

I have discovered that the cruise line actually paid to have some drama series television show produced. It's as bad as you imagine.

The other channels on the TV are questionable. Random episodes of sit-coms, a current movie, maybe a nature show. All assuming the satellite is working. We have been known to stare out the window for hours at a time.

The crew call us multiple times a day to make sure we haven't killed each other. Or died of COVID. Or both.

I've thought about taking up pushups. Nothing more. Just pushups. That seems fine. There's not room for much else.

Nothing else to report. Because there is nothing else. I just hope we make Seattle.

 

Sorry to laugh at your story, Dave. But I do feel bad for you all.

Is this window at the water line level? Just wondering if you are getting to see any sea life as well. Or just the shit floating by.

Edit: sound like a short story I wrote years ago on a jeep forum. Will see if I can dig it up.

Ok, everyone’s assignment for the weekend is to finish Dave’s novel. Does become the world push up champion? Does he succumb to Covid? Does Theresa get the staring role in the in house drama series? You decide, And share with the group!

I have by trying to get down there for over 15 friggin years. Life keeps getting in the way.

 

He becomes the world champion at the push up eating contest at the cruise line sponsored Covid release party. He gains 47 pound's and realizes he needs to work, where he starts actually doing push ups. He does so well that he eventually replaces the Atlas figure under the globe holding up the world. Theresa is so inspired, she also works out feverishly and becomes the stunt woman for the Female Hulk, Attorney at Law. They eventually retire and move to Cancun after Dave buys back his long lost favored white jeep.

On to to tonight's episode of "Bill's World".

Bill, is setting by the camp fire ( fire pit doesn't sexy) , the sky is cloudy and beers have set in. He browses the web for off road trailers again, while choking on the smoke from the camp fire, cause the wind direction keeps changing (oh holy shit, cough cough). Bill is also surving the WF for interesting topics to reply too. But that is hard for Bill. Because of all the choking from said camp fire and dim light level from his freaking ipad. If he turns up said light level... He then becomes blind to other crap in the yard, and starts tripping over dumb shit.

Bill is having a rough nigh night at relaxing, but making due, searching the www dot for stupid stuff he doesn't need but wants. And effing with the new dog that might be a perm-in-nate fixture at the house. His wife spooks him every now and then as to how he's doing, but does not bring beer.. What the sam hell!!! Bill down plays it and keeps pissing out by the shed, while asking wife to get more beers (still hasn't happened yet(.. Her reply is, you drinking, you get it.. All while laughing.

Bill's neighbor likes to turn on his back porch light to piss off Bill's relaxing mood. Then his kids like to keep flipping it on and off. Bill sucks it up and drives on. Pee's again next to shed, and goes for another beer (been awhile since he has enjoyed himself like this). Bill is happy. But others don't like it (asshole neighbor), Bill is strangely confused as to why he is happy and neighbor is not. Bill realizes he don't care (EFF YOU SPOOBY) and rocks on.

As the night passes, an fire dims, Homie wonders if he should throw on another log. He does while saying, the more fire the better. Bill finds he is in a happy place right now, and DIGGS IT MUCHLY.....

Now after looking at the house and seeing the kitchen light still on. He knows his wife is still up. He (Bill), contemplates trying for the pirates booty, but figures..... Nah... Another night (yeah right) as the doggie jumps in his lap AGAIN. Doggie is a good dog, but in the wrong spot at the wrong time.. Bill likes to play with the dog and wonders what dog thinks of Bill. Bill really doesn't care , but still wonders while again, whizzing next to shed. Doggie has weird reflecting eyes in Bill's headlight he is waring, and for so e reason wants to bark the shed (dog... Not Bill).

Anyway, while fire dims again, Bill thinks of swapping out the beer for his beloved pepsi to finish off the night... After seeing kitchen light off, he knows of no Booty tonight ( well, maybe.. Shit, who am i kiddn'), and he doesn't care, cause he thinks he is happy. And he is (applause). Wife is out, dog is out, and Bill is outside. Life is good in Bill's world at the moment, but tomorrow remains to be seen. Either way, he is gonna sleep like a champ. And figure out tomorrows plans, to marrow...

Ha ha. Till the next episode of Bill's world. Love, peace, and chicken grease.
