Picked up #379 yesterday. We went with the over engineered clamps. Spent an hour just looking at everything in awe. Then got to work and hooked up the third brake light, attached an 80/20 roof rack and ate 4 scoops of Salt & Straw.

Niceeeee! Let’s see the roof rack. 80/20 makes it easy.

Can you share where you got the strap handle for the tailgate?

I’ve used this for over two years with no issues, it’s also less of a trip hazard.

For $8K definitely worth it, any more... I'm not so sure. I'd either build my own or build a 4x4 trailer of something. I definitely dig camping in it, works awesome.

Feeling it especially on the hills but I expected that. We brought along two MTB bikes, ~100lbs of camping gear in a decked system, and a 50lb dog. I upgraded the front and rear suspension to dobinsons IMS and a 600lb+ full leaf pack so we could retain some higher clearance and reduce squatting

Yup, love the SP but couldn't pony up at current prices. Lots of other options out there and all I really need is something that's very quick to set up. It's been perfect for me so far.

I have enjoyed the camper but Same for me. I got in on pre launch pricing and likely wouldn’t go at current at least not the 2nd gen setup.

Made the most of summer with MTB trips to Sierras in June and then BC/WA/OR. Not much actual camping stoke since I usually arrive late after dark so spots I find can be hit or miss. But I did get a shots of some of the better spots. And lots of riding pics for stoke.

Random question. When i picked up the camper, it was suggested to have the outer solid doors rolled up when closing up. Once or twice a week i pop the camper just to air it out, etc. I left the doors all zipped and closed it, it just takes a little longer but it seems to close better and have less chances that the tent gets caught between the extrusion.

So, you all keep the solid doors rolled up or all of it zipped closed?

So far I usually roll up the back, but leave the sides zipped. A wood block under the back helps me hold it up just enough to stuff the sides.

Same I roll up the back it seems to work better. Sides I leave zipped. Never had issues. If I had to roll all three it would be tedious. If we didn’t have to deflate the matters it would be a quick setup and breakdown.

I don't roll up any of the flaps, but lift the back one to let the air escape as I pull the tent down.

That's what I do too. Gives me a chance to tuck everything in before latching.

I leave side doors zipped up. Back door half zipped. As I lower the top this allows air to escape, then when it's about 10" open I tuck the rear door fabric in first and then the sides. Check each side and the rear that no remaining fabric is sticking out, and then close and lock it down. Inflating/deflating only takes a few seconds with the battery powered air pump. A bit longer if I leave my sleeping bag up top, but I pull that down and leave in the truck cab every couple days to air it out. I don't bother opening up the camper to air out when at home unless I had condensation inside last time closing it up, but I'm usually using it every week or two.
