I think it's pretty cool when other Tacomas park near each other

Nice black Tacoma! Looking at your intro thread, that's the same truck? If yes I see you changed the grill?

Yes, I changed it out last month...and added Smoked Amber Raptor Lights.

So that's why it looks so good! If I won the lottery and bought a new black Tacoma, I'd do the same.

I was very fortunate to get my TRD Sport.

Spending under $40K was my goal...willing to spend that much on my first NEW truck EVER was my reward after we refinanced our mortgage.

I wasn't willing to splurge on a Tacoma TRD Pro and I definitely would not spend $77K-$100K on the newest Tundra TRD Pro!!!

Holy crap - a Tundra can go for that much?? I know they're great trucks but jeez... that's almost $10k more than I paid for my house in 1985! Good deal refinancing when you did. Needless to say now is not a good time with interest rates up.

    @Stelcom66

It's friggin' nuts paying that much for ANY vehicle.

A home on the other hand...totally different purchase.

We paid just over $250K for our home in 2006...but I was Active Duty Air Force and getting Housing Allowance as an E7/with dependent rate.

Fast forward 15 years later and we refinance for a 2nd time (3rd if you include initial loan) and we had a nice principal pay-down and an EXCELLENT appraisal which gave us over $75K in equity in our home. (What an investment that took time to mature!)

We are blessed to have a happy home where our daughters always feel welcome to come home and enjoy Family Time...with Son-in-laws included!

Yea really. And thank you for your service. I'm glad to see financial benefits are available to those who serve. Refinancing can be great at the right time. Money put to good use in your case.

@Stelcom66 Thank you for the mention of my service.

Wife got her new kitchen remodel and all wood floors...the beige contractor grade carpet we had was a nightmare in appearance.

EDIT: I need to find another photo of Tacoma next to mine.

Wow that's an old rare one, what kind of Toyota is that? If it's a Landcruiser, I've never seen that style.

Land Cruiser. Couldn’t tell you what year.
Secretly parked next to it just so I could check it out.

Interesting. Those newer Tacomas are sure nice looking. Then again any gen Tacoma is IMO.

Looks like the Landcruiser in the photo is a 1980-1990 vintage. I believe Landcruiser is no longer imported to the U.S.

I had my annual orthopedic appointment today...knees check good...but I need to use a stationary bike to get better bending degrees.

Anyway, I came out of the parking lot and saw this Midnight Black OR...yes, I purposely parked next to it! I think the owner came out after I walked away but didn't say anything to me.
