Someone in a discord asked me if I knew anyone who joined the church when they were happy.. can't say I do. In the church the salvation testimonies were always people who were down on their luck and needed something to fill their time and the church did just that. The need sure makes it easier to overlook the gaps in everything

I was listening to this podcast the other day called This Is Really Happening, basically just a collection of crazy real life stories from different people on different subjects each episode. One was from a girl that got signed over to the Scientologist organization in LA when she was 13 years old, her mom literally gave the church legal rights over her daughter.

She had to sign a "billion year contract" with them to basically be a slave until she died, when she would be reborn and do it again for the next billion years

I was kind of surprised to hear that she was able to leave of her own accord, once she wised up to what was happening. Which is pretty big for a 13 year old. Fuck her mom though

She was saying how everyone she met there was either severely mentally unwell or on the run from a bad situation and hiding out as a Scientologist. No one was there because they really wanted to be.

crazy how an organization like that can be allowed to flourish these days. All that Tom Cruise Top Gun money I guess

Interesting to know that many that have indeed been down on their luck, persevered through tough situations in their life, and came out the other side strongly independent and successful also lack faith.

Only faith needed was faith in themselves :burp:

    Fuck yeah!

Really though I do enjoy using a spoolgun, but I absolutely despise welding on dirty ass aluminum. Cast was the worst for me.

Don't know what spoolgun you use but yeah that wire melting at the tip is way too common.

Make sure you're cleaning the area with a stainless wire brush that you only use on alum

Have you seen his work space?

Jimmie is crazy resourceful and handy as hell, but I don't imagine there being a brush that isn't already contaminated from mild steel.
