    I'm not even sure what grade aluminum these older frames are. Since I rejoined this company we've switched to american made frames made from 5052 but it's a guessing game to know what I just welded was lol

    If it gives any indication made in USA frames are about 300 a piece while the old company got these frames from China at 80 each

    @Abeyancer

    No AC TIG welder at your disposal?

    Seems you had a gap in that first pic so the puddle laid nicely in between the two pieces, but that backside just laid it on top and seems cold.

    Thankfully we all share the weld bench so by the shop rules I can't use the alum only brush for anything but alum.

    But damn, do you know me well:anonymous:

    Regretfully not, that would be ideal and I intend to get one when the owner retires. He doesn't want us building stuff but I know we could make our own frames in house for less money than we buy em

    I mean my barber is badass, and his shop is legit one of those "hang outs" where they'll even have beer and shit

    I guess I just don't feel like socializing :laughing:

    that's my least favorite part of getting a hair cut lol, but it's better when you have a regular place so at least you're already acquainted with them. The guy that cuts my hair we usually chat for a few minutes at first but then he just does his thing

    Used to enjoy getting one, once a week.

    Since welding and just never having to worry about a clean cut I'd just wear a hat most of the time.

    But it's really long now. That and my beard especially cause he uses his clippers to trim it down. I got rid of my large clippers since moving so I can only trim off so much.

    Cross car distortion on modern curved windshields is fun. Its like a funhouse mirror if you're looking at a far angle to see if a car is coming. o_O

    @jubei Did you use the sawzall or the death wheel more, I know I need some new sawzall blades but I'm trying to gauge if I should just buy the megapack

    @eon_blue I'm sure if I took it in and explained it's giving me a headache and also I slipped through a crack in the continuum the dealer service techs would still just say its normal lol.

    Saw a new Bronco broken down on the freeway yesterday, glad to see FuRd is keeping traditions alive through the generations.
