The roads are designed to handle trucks. Water infiltration is what damages the roads. When you force water into a crack at high pressure, the crack grows. Then the water freeze and expands, further opening up the crack. All of these cracks allows for the accelerated evaporation of the solvents in the tar that bind all of the stones together. This is a state which is known as “all fukked up” or somethin.

I meant a street in a residential neighborhood that is connected to a main road that has semis running on it all the time. Asking an honest question. Can each one of those 4 streets can support a semi fully loaded with blacktop? Do you mean "4 types of streets" as in composition or thickness and/or combination of both? Are one of the types a "tar and chip" road? I'm only trying to learn stuff

Worry about that which you can control. I wonder if those adjacent rather large old trees contribute to the problems with that particular section of road?
