    They can all support the weight of the truck. The problem is when the road becomes damaged and isn’t repaired. Then if you roll an 80,000 pound tractor trailer through the potholes, it will cause major damage to the blacktop.

    I dont live on that road so I dont lose any sleep at night :cookiemonster:

    It seems there's no rhyme or reason. There's pretty much as many treeless areas with potholes as there are with trees. The sidewalks are not all pushed up like there were tree roots causing issues.

    Compresses the blacktop where the tires are. There is one road in particular in the area that has large ruts from people driving over it and where vehicles have stopped at a traffic light.

    So perfectly good blacktop is unaffected where as already damaged road (freeze and thaw damaging up the road) is damaged even more.

    Very good observation.When you brake, it relies on traction to stop you. If you have an 80,000 pound truck traveling at 45mph, that kinetic energy has to be transferred somewhere, and that is down to the road. Get rid of the red lights and the problem is solved. :D You can never solve all of these problems because you need to trucks rolling to get everything people need to live.
