Amazon or eBay are where I get my trailer supplies. Their prices are usually better than TSC or Northern tool.

Yeah. It is the first welding project I made. It's not pretty, but it has held up and works, so good enough for me.

Honestly, I just enjoy tinkering so it was a win for me. Plus, I looked at buying one and figured "How hard could it be?" and just built one lol.

I did learn what size wire I like, and I learned that I don't like Flux core wire, so it was a good project all around.

Here is a short video showing the finished product with my son driving the tractor. Watch your audio...

Flux core wire is awful, but it's better than nothing. That's awesome with your son driving, I need to turn my son loose on the tractor. He does great with the mower and the Tacoma by himself.

Eh, he can't reach the clutch so I just put it in low 1st and let him cruise around lol. I have to hang out by him since that tractor won't stop for anything and I lack a ROPS.

I forgot to 45 the top in the circle. I learned that if I bind up the 3 pt and tractor, it will bite you lol. Guess how I learnt that? That's right, the hard way.

My old neighbor had one with about that many hours. I was on its 3rd rebuild of the hydraulic pump, but he had a bucket and used it hard. I think they are a good value to tractor at $2000-6000 depending on implements and other wear.

Just an FYI, I paid $2400 for my B4200D at around 500 hours a few years ago. Taking into account how the world is now vs. then, I still think at best it is a $3500 tractor, give or take a few hundred. If I was to list my tractor, I'd start around there anyways.
    20191105_165523.jpg

The hours listed in the ad are irrelevant also, these little Kubotas go thousands of hours before needing rebuilt. I live in a high income area, so I don't think my prices are on the low end either.

At $4500, the world is your Oyster when it comes to old Kubotas.

Looks like he's starting off on the high end of what it's worth. Without a loader it seems like it should be closer to 3500 but then again, it's 4wd which adds value to it. I guess it also depends on where you live. Here in the PNW everything is more expensive and a guy probably would get the 4500 for it.

You ought to check it out though, old Kubotas are super dependable and hard working tractors in my experience.

Dang, $2500 would be a sweet deal. My how times have changed.

I am down in South Carolina, no reason tractors should be that expensive without any attachments.

I have an issue with my Titan 60" finishing mower deck. A couple of months ago, the middle blade came loose. I thought I had it fixed by cleaning up the threads and putting a new nut on it. But apparently, the threads on the shaft are also messed up, and it came loose again when I got into some really thick grass. I added another washer and a lot of blue Loctite to get it to engage on threads that are not messed up as another fix. But I don't really expect that to last. Does anybody know if you can get just a new shaft, or do I have to replace that entire assembly to fix it permanently? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on where to go to get the parts? I really don't want to have to go back to the dealer for this.

Here’s what it was doing before I messed with it.

Can you chase the threads with a die? Or are they past that point?

That's kinda what I did the first time I fixed it. I got it so the new nut would tread on smoothly and snugged it up. But now, when too much force is applied, the nut skips on the threads and the blade becomes loose. I'm hoping with the double washers and Loctite on there now, it will get me through the rest of this season. :fingerscrossed:

Sold! Loaded up ready for delivery. I need to take the lift kit off my truck or get a 8” drop hitch. Or do a spring over on the trailer. How hard would it be to do a spring over conversion?

I think an 8" drop hitch would be easier and probably cheaper.
