I would offer a slight variance to that. As stated, you can still have a blind spot but the extra convex mirror definitely helps that. The blind spot is typically where your side mirror(s) can’t see it and you still can’t see it, or easily see it in your peripheral vision out the side window or turning your head looking out the side window. The blind spot typically is not a mirror thing.

in other words, you check your mirror, no car. You look out your side window, no car. Yet the car is there, that’s the blind spot.

I also completely agree with adjusting mirrors to just not able to see your own truck, you want as much side or next lane view as you can get. With a slight tip of your head you can still see the edge of your truck for reference and also parking next to curbs and such.

 

Why though? I’m not seeing the advantage to this. It only needs to hold it down to the tailgate and that is minimal effort, that strap and latch is more than capable of handling that. It’s also not any more secure from a thief cause all they have to do is pop the handle and released. What am I missing? Not criticizing, just curious.

 

Agree on the disagree lol I have an MGM and the Toyota inserts….it looks much better and the contrast is very slight and it makes it subtly pop and doesn’t subtract from the minimalist decal/badging the Pro gives me anyway. I have had several peeps comment they like it and want to get the inserts after seeing them….they didn’t all have MGM though.

 

Struggling Starting. Truck is shy 3 months from 3 years ownership, and 41,000 miles. Anyone else have battery issues? I trickle charged last night for about 8 hours which didn't seem to help, much.

Does my positive post just need a good cleaning? Should I get the battery tested--and where can I get a good battery?

I feel like if it is tested, my battery will be drained to the point of no return.

All that corrosion around the terminals isn’t helping the situation.

 

My tailgate locks with the remote. So they can't pull the handle. It doesn't unlatch when locked

 

If you have a multimeter handy, try this:

How to Test a Car Battery with a Multimeter

1. Turn the headlights on for two minutes to get rid of any surface charge the battery may have.
2. Set the multimeter to 15-20 volts.
3. Turn the lights off.
4. Connect the multimeter to the positive and negative battery terminals.
5. If you don’t have a voltage of around 12.6 volts, you may have a bad battery.
6. Now start the car and look for a revised voltage over 10.
7. If your voltage drops below 5 when the car is running, it is bad and should be replaced right away.

 

I'll give it a cleaning today.

My mods and changes are all very simple. 2020 Off Road. Removed the badging from the rear QPs, added a blackout package, LEDs for the interior, pedal commander (big difference), front driver sear risers (big difference), upgraded all 6 speakers (big difference), bed mat, and front floor mats. Also added a dashcam.

 

Its Lunar Rock. Although the cement was my second choice.

She is a good friend. We've been friends for more than 20 years. I didn't even get mad when she stripped this screw. LOL with a little ingenuity, she got it.

 

Screws aren't what they used to be anyway. I'm starting to sound like my dad!

 

Factory batteries may average 3 years. Many less than that, very few more than that. I only got about 2 years out of my factory battery. It sounds like you got good life out of yours. I would look at it as an opportunity to upgrade.

 

I couldn't believe how easily it stripped. As I watched, it looked like the screw was made of soft aluminum.
