I'm having some issues installing the Anytime front facing Camera. I bought the 4 way channel kit for my 2018 SR5. I tried contacting Anytime camera for support and never heard back from them, other people had the same issue with customer support.

The problem: the screen won't go to the home menu if the front camera is plugged in. You can see the front camera working, and the rear camera when I switch them on but the screen will never go back to the home menu. If I disconnect the front camera, the home menu will display.

I'm getting nervous this isn't going to work for my SR5. I'm thinking this camera is only made for the bigger premium screens Tacoma has. I tried making sure my ground wires are grounded well, but still no home menu. My solder connections seem to be good as the front camera is displaying. The install PDF from Anytime is pretty much useless as its for the regular 1 channel kit. I'd appreciate if anyone has any suggestions, that way I can get this working and make an how-to video for other people wanting to install the 4 way channel kit.

I made a youtube video explaining my connections:

I see you might have an issue with the trigger wire going to the camera module. Example: the not used door mirror cameras should be taped (insulated) separated. Also, the front camera also has a trigger wire and I don't see what you did to that. The "extra" wire that is next to the front camera connection.
As far as the middle button on the remote, I'm guessing it's a mode select. I ordered one for myself, have yet to receive it...

The not used door mirror wires are separated, just looks like they are connected to each other because I taped them up together after individually taping them up. The front camera has three wires coming out of the its housing: a ground, a positive, and a connector that plugs into the yellow RCA jack. I have the ground going into the ground on the fuse box, the positive going to the fuse box with a 2 amp fuse, and the the last connector going to the yellow RCA jack.
The green and white are seperated, I electrical taped them up individually before taping them together. heres a pic of the camera wire below. I got the red positive going to the fuse box along with the black negative. Yellow RCA jack connected to the harness RCA , and the male connector plugged into the female harness connecto . I'm pretty sure that is correct? Should I be putting the red positive somewhere else other then the fusebox?

They way you have the juice going into the front camera means it's always ON. Might not be an issue, but to manage it better would entail adding a switch to select ON/OFF, which the remote modes might do, unlike the turn signals. But without having the unit in my hands, I only speculate on the workings of the module. It's meant to be able to select any camera via the remote buttons, but if the cameras require fused power as a trigger to be viewed automatically, who knows.

The Red & Blk in the pic is power to the front camera? Does your Home screen appear if you disconnect the Red?

So heres an update video on the situation. Looks like everything's good to go. followed caribe makaira and DES2009's suggestion...
I had to leave the car so I couldnt see what happened when I disconnected the red wire from the fuse box. I will update you guys on that tomorrow. I guess all in all I would not get this kit from anytime camera. I would get just the harness and piece together the kit myself. they separate the tools that come in the camera box and try to upsell those tools on their website. I know this because when you order the camera straight from Amazon the tools are in the box. not a big deal i guess. An update to their installation manual would have been perfect. i understand its probably a one man operation but you get spoiled when you have customer service like Archive Garage haha. I will make the full how-to video when I install the last two cameras.

I was planning on purchasing this and installing into my 2022. Have you found which cameras work best with this kit for the mirrors? and i guess a big question i have is does the factory rear camera work with this kit? or do you have to use a new camera?

    thanks!

the natika cameras work great, thats what comes with the kit. only one camera comes in the 4way channel kit. heres the Amazon link

    NATIKA Backup/Front View Camera
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H852D49

the oem rear camera still works with the kit, no need to get one for the rear.

Thank you for that! that is great news about the rear camera. as for the side mirror cameras, I figured that was the case. I really hoped there was a more slim camera to use for the mirrors since that Natika one is pretty bulky to sit on the bottom of the camera.

I havent yet unfortunately but the time will come as I did purchase the extra cameras. I got to start by looking up how I can tap into the turn signals so it automatically switches over to that camera.
