I was going to say ‘Mall Lights’. The purpose of rock lights is to SEE the rocks not bathe them in dimmed pretty colors. If they aren’t meant for wheeling and seeing what you’re doing, they look good but far from effective ‘rock lights’.

My factory 2017 still going strong with over 5 years and 127K miles on the truck. When I replace it I’ll get one from the dealership Toyota True Start comes with lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle. Check online and you’ll find some coupons for it.

I had a 2001 Honda Civic battery last 10+ years. Lifetime warranty?! Wish I would have read this before I just purchased a Gold DieHard at AdvancedAuto.

So that's what happened, I was out doing stuff, and decided to stop into advanced auto to test the battery, I had just 147 CCA working in the battery, so I bought the Gold DieHard. I got 42 months warranty, will see how it goes and maybe next time I'll get the True Start!

With some Luminol sprayers connected on the bumper this setup could be functional and enlightening.

I put those in last week, probably one of the better mods for these trucks is a good horn. While I dont use the horn often, when I do people never even pay attention to it... so I got louder ones.

It's been a couple days, but I've been in the middle of a ton of stuff. I sold my truck, so this will likely be my last post. In a couple days our move to Hawaii will be complete and my daily driving duties will be handled by a Honda CB500X. When we get back to the mainland in a few years it is entirely likely that I'll buy another Tacoma. It was a pretty good truck and I'm going to miss it.

Changed out the driver side hub assembly and installed the TTX Sway Bar Links. Really impressed with the TTX line of chassis from Mevotech. Only thing I can say it buy some 1/4 grease zerks, the ones they came with are junk. I also redid the driver side inner axle seal, it was leaking after I installed the ECGS bushing. Took it for a ride, still have some vibration in the steering wheel, put it back on the lift and shook down the front end again. Looks like Inner tie rod ends are on the menu now. 223’000 miles - I have nothing to complain about.

Oh there will be some mods all right
You can still hang around! There are plenty of people on here who don't own a Tacoma and still are active members.

So today I installed the Meso dual color map and dome lights. Thanks @IssaGreenTaco.

Then I spent over an hour pulling up the clear protection film on my hood that the dealer installed. I got tired of looking at the mold and mildew on the edges and under the film. My fingers are more sore from doing that than from putting my clazzio seat covers on. And just when I think things are going better, something caught my eye and I look up and see that my windshield has a crack. I was like, what the hell?

Hardware is temporary. It's not perfect but looks like it will work.

Only concern is the strength of the fiberglass be. Time will tell.

    Holds:
    Two small camping chairs.
Bag full of bungie cords and ratchet straps along with a three ball hitch.

That's a good bit of storage. Plans for a door/cover?
