Sad indeed. They made good stuff. I applaud them though for standing up to jensen. From what i have read, other board partners say nvidia is a pita to deal with. I hope their employees are not laid off, and i hope they can leverage their reputation with amd or intel to make cards for them. I wish them prosperity in their future endeavors.

The CEO stated that he has no interest in making cards for AMD either. It appears they're focusing on existing other lines like their PSUs and MBs.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but let me pose you a question.

I'm having a problem with my truck. Can anyone help me?

    Now, what is your response?

I get where you're coming from but I think he's more asking if this is an okay thread to ask for IT assistance, which is fair, if given the go ahead then the real question comes.

From the other thread though sounds like a corrupted boot table from an incomplete restore.

I just saw the other thread, but have not read through it. After 30+ years in IT I admit to getting a little grumpy about those vague questions, but I still try to remember the customer service side of things, hence the please and the analogy. :)

Might not be a terrible idea to get a Computer Support type thread going, though. We've got a thread with every other type of subject on here it seems!

I am hoping that this is their way of playing hardball with amd or intel. If amd might be interested in another partner, evga could say meh, we will entertain your interest, tell us what you can offer. That way they might be able to get things on their terms, instead of the other way around. If they make it known that they will be perfectly fine without a gpu department, they will have much more bargaining power. I am sure this is just wishful thinking though.

Anyone done a mini-ITX build? Don't want a huge honker on my desk anymore, but a bit worried about thermals

    Yeah.
I do for non-gaming systems, although I wouldn't hesitate to do a a mid-tier gaming system in the typical case I use. My daughters both had mini-ITX systems with 1080 cards and they ran fine. I have only done air cooling, and you are limited in the size of the heat sink you can use. The AMD Wraith Stealth cooler fits, but not the big one. Noctua makes some slim coolers that will fit. This is the case I have used multiple times: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mini-itx/elite130/

Another option, do you have a closet nearby or another room used for storage? One thing I'd like to do is move my PC to another area, along with the heat it makes, and just run a fiber optic Thunderbolt cable to a dock in my office. Then you have no computer on your desk without losing anything in terms of compute power. Quieter too.

I've only ever done ITX build. I like the pain! My current build is in a meshlicious and has worked flawlessly. It has a great GPU comparability. I even heard that they made another version that allows for atx boards. I'd check it out.

I honestly forgot all about Overwatch 2. Now that you reminded me I guess I'll have to check it out once it's released.
