So I went to press my emergency brake to release it and it just keeps clicking and getting tighter and not releasing. Its all the way to the floor now. Any ideas on how to get it to release? Thanks

If you are sure it’s not a seized cable at the drum.
Then you need to inspect the pedal assembly. As it sounds like it’s not unlocking.
Make sure the return spring is there and hooked up. Then inspect the notched locking cam gear for the pedal. See if it’s jammed.
    See 1st picture below.

If you absolutely can’t get it come up. You might have to take the cable loose from the pedal. Which means no E-brake. But at least you can drive truck.

See picture 2. Where the arrow is there will be a nut. Taking this nut off should release the cable.
Be careful, the cable will likely fly backwards some once the nut is off.

it looks super gunked up. I cleaned it the best I could and got the lever to release, now it’s working like it’s supposed to be. I feel like this is some weird freak thing.

After looking at your pictures it looks like it’s the piece that the spring is attached to
