Just picked up a 22 Tacoma last month and I was in the market to lift it.
I was thinking of going the Bilstein 6112/5160 route and throwing on a AAL for at least 3” of lift. But I’m only doing so due to warranty from my dealership which would void going above 3”
My question is would that current setup be compatible with let’s say a pro comp 6” lift in the future?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

6" lift don't void entire warranties, just things related to the lift, so complaints about clunks, vibrations from giant tires etc.

We have seen transmissions declined on here, but its easily fighted with proper knowledge of laws.

But if you're holding off until 6", just do a spacer lift for now, 3/2". Then when its time to do the big lift, spend the money on the proper coil overs and extended shocks.

    A few.
Where were you given that info that a 3" lift wouldnt affect the warranty? Only a general guess on my part, but Im thinking that since Toyota's TRD Lift that they sell is 2" in the front that 2" is the maximum height of lift that they recommend going above stock.

If someone installs a lift and they end up with a bad tie rod, ball joint, cv joint or boot, universal joint, or other suspension parts, that could cause those parts to be no longer covered under the warranty depending on the relationship you have with that dealer.

Stacked plate transmission cooler Front: Custom Fabtech 2.25 Resi Coilovers, King springs, Eibach Tenders Rear: Fox 2.0 Resi, Custom OME Dakar Leafs, Caltracs Rebuilt 3.5
Aal in the rear is pretty easy to do, another option would be a bigger leaf pack like OME Dakar, Deaver, etc to give a 2.75-3” lift. The truck comes with a factory rake with the rear sitting about 1” higher than the front so a 3” rear lift would look good with a 4-6” front lift.

for the front, uniball/adjustable UCAs paired with a custom coilover setup, so you can pick your height and preload and spring weight vs. buying a pre set kit for $2K. Icon sells a top-hat eyelet shock adaptor for around $150. Spacer lift kits can bust up your shocks if you’re on the aggressive side.
