Met up with Christian @laughattack in Rialto this morning. We updated his 2021 and flashed KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle setting. Christian took it for a test drive and was extremely happy with how his truck was transformed. He drives the Cajun Pass often and is looking forward to see how his truck now handles the Pass.
It was good meeting you Christian let us know how your truck did going up and over the Cajun Pass.

 

Thanks Dave, all I can say is WOW!! Totally changed my truck. No more lag on the throttle, like so many have said, shifts like butter! I am in total shock. Dave did it on monday. Tuesday morning being a bit groggy still I pulled out of the driveway and the tires promptly let loose and scared the snot out of me. Coming down the grapevine it seemed to struggle a bit and couldn't find a gear was constantly upshifting and downshifting. Heading home nothing but a smooth responsive truck. If you are on the fence "JUST DO IT"!!!

I thought I read that you do 2nd gens as well, however I never see them in your client updates. Is there a reason why this is not as popular for 2nd gens? I was talking with someone who offered to do my truck, until he found out it was a 2nd gen. Then radio silence.

Met up with Mark in San Diego early this morning. We got Mark's 2017 OR updated and flashed KDMAX-PRO+XT with Normal throttle setting.
Mark test drove and was impressed with the new power and response. It was nice meeting you Mark enjoy the Pro+XT tune.

Jake came in early this morning to get his 2022 tuned to KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal Throttle settings. Took it for a test drive and his first word when he returned was "WOW"
He loves how it performs now. Jake will be adding a lift and 33"s in the near future he maybe coming back for the Sport throttle after his build is done.

Had a house call in Palos Verdes early this morning. Met with Hector and his new great looking Lunar 2022 Got him flashed to KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle setting.
Palos Verdes sits on top of a hill with a 360 degree overlooking the Pacific ocean, Port of Los Angeles (Home of the Battleship USS Iowa Museum) and downtown LA. What a incredible view you have Hector! It was good to meet you. I enjoyed talking with you. Enjoy the Pro+XT look forward to hearing how your enjoying the tune.

 

Just wanted to post an update on the KDMAX-Pro+XT for a 4Runner. Dave tuned my 2022 4Runner back in August. Truck is driving much smoother and feels so great when I'm accelerating. It definitely seemed to learn how I drove and it is PERFECTION. Always how I imagined a Toyota should drive. I plan on going back to fine tune it after I regear and install headers in November so I will update then. I highly recommend @TWTaco for his professionalism and willingness to explain the tune and what it does.

Had Jeff come by this afternoon with his sweet looking 2017 4Runner. Tuned him with Pro+XT. After his test drive he was all smiles.
The power and acceleration is exactly what he was looking. It was good meeting you Jeff let us know how your enjoying the Pro+XT.

 

House call in Monterey Park this morning with Jeff and his very nicely equipped 2020. Updated his ECU and flashed Pro+XT with Normal throttle. He took it for a nice test drive.
After the test drive he felt like he wanted more! Flashed the Pro+XT with Sport throttle and that was what he was looking for.
It was really nice talking with you this morning Jeff. It was nice meeting you and your wife. Enjoy the Pro+XT tune look forward to hearing from you.

 

Met up with Alfie and his Brother in-law in Commerce at the Citadel Outlet center.
First up was Freddy's new 2022 Trail Edition Tacoma. He did a great job with his wheel and tire selection and he really went all in with a King suspension upgrade.
It's a great looking Lunar Tacoma and now it runs like a beast! Flashed Freddy to the KDMAX-Pro+XT with Normal throttle. Freddy was all smiles after his test Drive.



Next up is Alfie and his 2015 4x4 4Runner. We updated his ECU and flashed him to KDMAX-Pro+XT. Alfie felt the new power and response right away.

Not sure why but I am just seeing far better MPG with the Pro+XT than I did with the 6.0 and Pro+.

just finished our third tank of fuel since upgrading. This tank was 1/2 highway and the rest city driving. For the last year after every fill up we would get 344 or 345 distance to empty. Today we saw 361!

truck runs great and getting over 22mpg mixed city driving. This is our primary vehicle so we take it everywhere. So very happy, especially with the higher prices at the pump, with more mpg.

I've talked to @TWTaco already, about the pro's of tuning 2nd gen, but I still have not seen 1 being tuned. Although i am very tempted, it makes me apprehensive about dropping the $ without having a chance to talk with someone who's been tuned first hand.

Are there any 2nd gens out there that were tuned that can share their results? I've had other 2nd gens owners message me asking what tw tacos response was, but they too are waiting to let someone else take the leap to see the actual results from daily driving.

 

Let me see if i can get a couple TW tuned 2nd gen owners to post a review here or PM you direct.

 

I'm interested in a tune. Can anyone with a 3rd Gen 6MT drop their thoughts? It seems like the benefit is mostly for the AT crowd and the gear hunting /shifting.
