I will be driving from PA to FL soon and looking for recommendations on how to make the seat more comfortable for long drives. I lifted the seats and tried the purple seat cushion but wow my ass hurts even after a 2 hour drive. Any recommendations appreciated.

There's an ass for every seat and apparently the Tacoma is not the seat for you.
I have driven countless hours in my Tacoma with my ass feeling fine. I am 59yo and 6'4 260lb so not a little youngster. Everyone is different.

I’ve done a straight shot from TX to CO ~ 15 hours and back and been fine. (With restroom breaks so not straight) but those with has were the only stops.

I bought my truck 3 weeks ago in Naples FL and drove non stop back to MN just taking gas breaks and a 1 hour to rest my eyes. 28 hours on the road because of 2 accidents causing big delays, but my butt did fine. Not sure a seat cusion would do much, b ut I am unaware of any that might work.

    Hi man,

I am starting to experience knee pain on my left leg. I drive a manual and 95% city driving so clutch on and off hundred times a day…

I won’t trade my truck for an auto. I am 6’ tall skinny, having 3 young kids I do not have time to exercise. So I admit that maybe some exercise would help, but, did you jacked up the front? Or the whole seat?

Rather than trying to find a cushion, I would stop by a local auto upholstery shop and see what they can do to make your seat more suitable for your butt. You'd be amazed at what a good shop can do.

Another vote for the Desert Does It seat jackers, front only. I was good for about an hour before I started to get achy. With the jackers I can now drive comfortably all day.
Beautifully US made and worth every penny.

Good luck. I will say I can do 12 hour trips easily in mine, better than the full size F-150 I had for a company truck.

The only thing that finally worked for me was removing the pressure plate in the lower back. Must have been pushing on a nerve that made my leg go numb or something.

Would that work for my wife? She pushes on a nerve.

I didn’t take any because there isn’t much to see but there is a 2nd gen thread around here somewhere that’s similar. You just roll up the back fabric of the seat and you’ll see a pressure plate (facing the driver) on the lower back with a metal cable to it. It’s two bolts (10mm iirc) and I snipped the cable. Took like 15 mins.
