I’ve been working on perfecting these. In the process of a single comp r 12 box and a duel focal 12 box.01FD97BC-0013-4A11-BD1F-81B5BAF12365.jpg 13B76E51-CADF-4374-83F6-57674D3B00E3.jpg =full]5166991[/ATTACH] 13B76E51-CADF-4374-83F6-57674D3B00E3.jpg

what's with the 1-gang electrical blank? and the plate it's mounted to, is that just a piece of mdf to finish off the amp mounting platform, or does it serve some other use?

i see there's a large hole in the back of the single-12 box, is there another piece for mounting, or is your terminal cup that large?

in the picture, it looks like the entire front is mdf on the speaker face as well as the sides-- is the fiberglassing for the rear space, and/or front texture? i'm just surprised to see what looks like so much wood in a fiberglass build.

The hole in the Back of the 12 box gave me a extra 1/2 in of mounting depth. I router out a 1/4 inch deep square glue it in brad nail it down then fiberglass the entire box. All my boxes are sealed so I got extra strength as box flex kills out put.
After fiberglass I do a light file board then apply body filler to then be sanded flat. I’ve used fabric for wrapping them these last few I’ve been painting. I really enjoy the 12 box so I will probably gelcoat it do some inlay of some sorts.
All my box’s I’ve built can be installed or remove in about 5 minutes. My goal has always been with this truck is keeping a some what stock look.

Where did you get those seats and consol from? Those boxes looks good. I'm looking for a single 12 to go in my single cab now and it's tough if you need the seat all the way back.

Seat covers are from marathon seat covers. The console is stock I just wrapped the arm rest with hobby lobby fabric. Focal has came out with a 12 made for smaller boxes. It’s top mount depth 5.3 in. So I believe with this sub you should fit and have full range on seats. But with a .53 cub sealed spec for the enclosure it should be possible to keep the box behind the passenger seat. That way you keep full range of driver seat. By the specs and the way I understand them the focal should be louder then the kicker comp r 12 and of course sound better. check with me after Christmas because I’m going to put 2 of them in my truck and then I will be be able to give you info on seat movement.

My truck has a bunch seat. I want to go to buckets so the box isn't such an issue but for now I need full range of the bench.
