    Hi TW

I’m looking to put a few things on my 2021 OR and hoping someone can point me to a build thread or provide some guidance.

I’m wanting to install a hard shell with a rack for the cab as well as the shell area so that I can mount a RTT - something like this one: https://www.roamadventureco.com/collections/tents/products/the-rambler-hardshell-rooftop-tent

Has anyone done / seen a similar build? What racks do people typically go with for something like this?

    Thank you in advance :]

Are you thinking of something like the GFC camper? It's like a hard shell with a tent on top.

No not like that. My post wasn’t very clear, but something like a Leer / ARE / Snugtop shell with something like a Prinsu rack for the cab and some other rack for the shell, with the RTT mounted to that. Does that make more sense?

Yes that does. Check out @ mountaintacoma and geoscoutadventures on Instagram. Similar to what you're looking for I assume.

Fox Performance Elite 2.5's with 650lb eibach springs and deaver stage III's, URD Y-pipe, Desert Does It all around, ARB Twin, RCI aluminum skid plates, Westcott sliders, UpTop Alpha roof rack, SSO slimline plate front bumper, BAMF hgih clearance rear bumper, hella gummy bears (strictly Haribos, none of that weak-ass Trolli bullshit).
I just finished talking smack about their business practices on the snorkel thread, but Uptop makes a mean roof and topper rack. I have an Alpha roof rack and a CaliraisedLED bed rack and the difference in quality and attention to detail is noticeable. If I had to do it again, I’d just get frontrunner everything. Everything is loud and hurts your mpg, some more than others, but my understanding is that front runner gives you a lot of options.

another thing to consider is that depending on your topper, you might not need a rack to run an RTT, you might just need some cross bars.
