A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! You were absolutely right, @Sprig - we haven't done $hit either. Thought we would at least get a run down to the beach after the wife's leg surgery, but no, and now her Docs' 30 day warranty ran out, and she goes back for an outpatient fix on the vein on Tuesday. Going no where! And I've pretty much been the only one in the pool, because she had to wait a month after the surgery. Maybe next year...

Been doing a little project in between chores - hope to wrap it up my Monday. Or maybe Wednesday. Going well, except for running out of my paint!

We were camping in the San Rafael Swell a few years ago and as we were leaving from the campground we saw a free standing griddle sitting propped against a fire ring... with no one occupying the site. SCORE!!! We use it on the grill. It fits nicely and covers about half of the grill, so we have the best of both worlds.

Nice unit. You'll enjoy that flat surface for all kinds of things.

Both had a,small block V_8 under the fuel tank. The trike was well done with chrome and paint. Didn't get to talk to either owners but sure would have liked to ask some questions:D.

So jealous. Years ago I could cut and split firewood to burn for the winter. Now they have so many restrictions with red burn days that I can barely get through 1/2 cord a year. You can’t even buy a wood stove/fireplace anymore and it’s illegal to install or replace one. Mine is 35 years old and I’ll never get rid of it.

Well I finally installed my Orbi 6 router and 2 satellites around my house using an Ethernet backhaul. It’s been some work because I have 4 devices that I port-forward. I also have a few devices like printers, NAS, cameras, ftp server, and sprinkler system that needs fixed internal IP addresses. I also run openDNS and block port 53 so users can’t override the DNS server. Sure runs fast and can get a signal everywhere. I even put a satellite (access point) outside under the patio roof. I hid it behind the TV which technically degrades the signal but it goes 3 houses down the street. We’ll be tuning it a bit over the next few weeks. Geek talk I know but I get my jollies over it.upload_2022-9-18_14-42-56.jpg

Yesterday was indeed a lazy day. Took care of a couple of small repairs around the house and cooked dinner. Today will be a little more involved around the home.

My brother is in town for work, and he will be over for dinner tonight. Dinner is a bone in standing rib roast. Rubbed it down with a beef concentrate and added some SPG last night. This morning I covered the top with some aromatics. Fire up the EX6 at 2 pm for a 5 pm dinner.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/greater thans. I've been doing stuff to and with my new-to-me Caterham Super Seven and have not been keeping up with some of my social media. Pardon the omnibus response -- or don't, I'm old and don't give a rip either way. :p
Credit rating companies' job is to determine what sort of credit risk a person poses. If the person doesn't make any regular payments the agency can't determine that part of the risk, so they lower the score. Having said that, can someone explain to me how paying off one's credit card in full every month doesn't qualify as making regular payments??? Sure looks like it to me.

Also you should look into specialty vehicle insurance, Hagerty is a popular name and the one I use but there are others. You probably will pay a fraction of what you pay through a normal insurance company. I keep the 'normal' cars on our regular insurance and the 'toys' on Hagerty.

So long as the interest you earn beats the interest they charge, I'm absolutely with you. Otherwise, not so much. I know the experts say to carry a mortgage for as long as possible because the dollars you pay back will be worth less, and stuff like that. But I just hate being in debt.

Sounds like quite the setup! I recently did something similar with TP-Link gear. It's so nice having a single WiFi network, instead of the 4 I had earlier! I just go wherever I want and the phone or laptop or handheld are connected, no fuss or bother.

We pay our credit card balance off every month and our mortgage payment interest is under 4% - we're making a minimum of 8% on investments so we're happy to carry the debt while banking money.

I have an appreciation for the cord wood stack - grew up with cutting, carrying, stacking, making kindling, shoveling ash, cleaning flues - and infinitum. Making sure you have a supply of pain relievers. Twenty years ago when we moved to AZ - I got my dream fireplace - gas with a hand valve .......... Still need to outfit the unit with a 12v blower for room heat.
