Was wondering if anyone knew the best route to take for lifting a 2wd sr5 3rd gen Tacoma 3” without taking away ride quality or busting the bank. Any input is appreciated!

2wd and 4wd suspension lifts are interchangeable. However, once going to the 3" lift may need upper control arms, maybe tss calibration (miliwave radar), etc.

Tss (safety sense) relies on the miliwave radar in the grille to accurately measure distance of pedestrians and or cars that are too close. When the radar device is replaced/relocated it may not work (aleart) properly and the dealers techstream will be needed to recalibrate the unit.
I used the new miliwave radar unit included in the kit and also lowered it to its new (lower) position in the replacement grille. It didn't work and a warning message came on and stayed on until the dealer calibrated it. Took about 2 hrs plus and cost $300.
In my younger days it would have been ignored but I'm rather fond of the added safety these days.
Oh, the warning beep from crossing a highway line comes from a camera near the rear view mirror. The radar is also used with adaptive cruise control.
    Hope that helps

Yeah that makes sense. For example the RC 3.5” loaded strut kit that comes with aftermarket UCA would fit even though it says it’s only for a 2wd?
