my current ones are gas. I’m tired of having to buy gas for them and my blower has never been pleasant to try and start

    1963.
Probably a base model V100 as it doesn't have a chrome drip edge or reverse lights, the next model up was (predictably) the V200.
The top of the line was the Signet, available in 2 door hard top and convertible only.

Power was provided by the leaning tower of power slant six in 170  or 225 :) cubic inch displacements. As the car only weighed a bit over 2500 pounds a 225 was a zippy performer. No Valiant V8 (273) until 1964.
Early 63's were available with a aluminum block 225, it was discontinued due to corrosion issues, the antifreeze of the day wasn't capable of protecting it yet.

Transmission choices were TorqueFlight automatic with push button control (until the end 1964) or a 3 speed on the wheel.
The Chrysler A833 4 speed was introduced in 1964.

Years ago a friend had one almost identical with a bad 170/3 speed. He swapped in a 1979 Super Six which was the highest performing factory slant six package ever built (not including specialty Hyper-Pak stuff).
It came with a 2 barrel carburetor, aluminium intake manifold and a camshaft with an exceptional power band. With 13" tires and gearing appropriate for the 170 that was a zippy car. :burnrubber:

    The truck is a 1969 - 72 Chev.

I just bought the cheapest weed eater (they offer 3 IIRC) and I am really impressed with it -- even Mrs Green will use it. ;)

Emptied the dishwasher. I should probably wash the pans from supper now.

And because everyone was talking about lubing up the garage doors, I did that today, too.

I’m EGO all the way. I love them. However, I got most of them when HomeDepot lost the rights to Lowes. Clearance at 75% off is a hell of a drug. The carbon fiber model has the self loading feature that is worth its weight in gold… the 650 blower has neat features too! I used corded (and still do for some stuff), but I haven’t regretted these. There are plenty of folks that buy items for the batteries and sell the equipment “tool only”. Consider that with any brand you consider.

I understand the gas thing, but my relatively new Echo SRM-225 weed eater and Echo blower are pretty damn easy to start. Even my grandmother with severe arthritis can start them if need to be.

I’ve got all Ryobi. 18V blower and weed eater, good for light stuff around the driveway/sidewalk. 18V blower is great for blowing out the garage, porch, deck, sidewalks. 40V chainsaw, weed eater, push mower. Chainsaw is good for probably 6-8” or smaller trees. 21” self propelled push mower is excellent and weed eater has high and low. I’ll be trying the 40V backpack blower this Fall to replace and older Stihl BR380. Ryobi also has 90 day money back guarantee on some pieces and also has a good warranty.

The start up costs of the cordless stuff is daunting, I started with a 1/4" driver & drill set that came with 2 smaller batteries and a charger.
Then I scored a fairly wimpy hand held vac at TSC on clearance -- it came with a 5AH battery and a charger, later also on clearance two 5AH batteries and another charger.
So now with 5 batteries and 3 tools buying the tool only isn't a bad deal.

Sorry, but you's guy's gonna have to pry my gas powered outdoor equipment and air powered tools out of my cold dead hands. I just can't make the switch!

I do have quite a bit of lawn, trimming, and bushes to do so gas makes sense. I also have to do trimming at grandmothers house, so fill the weedeater, hedge trimmer, and blower with gas and I'm all set. No need to worry about dead batteries...

For the downtown lawns I still use the gas powered trimmer.

One thing I like about the battery power trimmer is I can lock it in the truck if needed, really don't like to leave gas powered equipment in the truck in the summer or at all really.

Also it is quiet, no ear plugs needed.

A other vote for the 40V Ryobi stuff, I've been happy with mine as well.

Up around Tulsa not so much, it's a lot like TX where's it's mostly private land. Gotta either own it, lease it, or know someone with it.

Oh yeah. We have tons of public land. But it also draws tons of public hunters. From Oklahoma and Texas. I’ve got a few areas I run mineral sites and trail cams at. Two biggest problems are, 1. The meth heads some how get deeper into the woods then you could ever imagine and they steal your crap. 2. Because OK has been buying up a lot of this land for hunting, the neighbors of said public land are vengeful and ransack a lot of the areas with their quads and steal your crap.

    I’m liking the outcomes.

It’s not great, but it’s not horrible. Just about Every dot on this map is under 70-80mins drive time from Tulsa.
