Airnow and Purple air are what we use. I also use Caltopo for the fire mapping and ZoomEarth for live satellite views. It's been so spotty with this fire. I rode my mtb at lunch today with an AQI of like 5 (aka crystal clear) then by this evening the AQI was probably 400+. Crazy swings as the wind shifts the crap around.

This weekend, we'll just look at the map and head where it's clear. Good practice for living in moment.

@theesotericone do you know of any hikes/routes in mammoth area that would be considered a “tough hike”/some bouldering. Nothing that requires some ropes, but somethin that’s not just walking. Minor crawling/holding on to stuff to get through it?

i could make it down there tomorrow and swim in some lakes tomorrow afternoon then Saturday do something like that before coming back here and it’d fell worth it

There's a via ferrata but that costs money. I'll give it some thought today and see if I can think of something. If I don't reply again by 5PM or so just tag me again.

I used to, sold my bow. After helping my brother in law with his archery tag this year though, and actually being successful, and getting a really good buck, I kind of want to buy a bow again...

I have a few bales of straw set up on our property. The kids go nuts for flinging arrows. Of course I get in there and have some fun too.

Last year, we had some friends visiting from out of state. Their son got a dove in flight - he’s like 10 years old! Of course we made the kids process it and cook it over an open fire. We let him keep the bow that he used to shoot it.

I remember being at the air races, late 70s.
We could drive out near one of the 'upper' pylons and were so close we could see the pilots faces. Fond memories.

Anyone interested in a lovesac? I bought it last year. Microfiber cover the inside is made from memory foam. Very comfy. I’m getting rid of stuff (going through divorce)
Cover is washable . Asking $300

If anyone can make use of this, it's theirs. 265/70r16, doesn't look like it's ever been used.
