You sound like a well spoken and polite 17 year old. No need to apologize. Use it as a means of improving your conversation abilities moving forward.

You could try to see if there's any cameras at the school that could've filmed it happening. In any case, I'd just report it to insurance after taking reasonable steps to find out more about the incident. Or don't; Tacomas look better with dents IMO.

Does your school have cameras that capture the parking lot? If so you know what day it happened school administration and the SRO should be able to help you solve the problem and get a proper report filed. I may have missed if you told wether or not your school has cameras. Just a thought .

I wish. 5.4L gas guzzler. The way Colorado insurance is it might not matter what my kids drive. The household insurance is going up. I may be able to find an insurance company that will just insure them. My insurance agent said that most likely wouldn't be possible. So I asked "I have to pay stupid high rates on a Z06 Corvette that my kids will never drive?" He said "yep." I said "fuck it. They can drive it then. How cool is that to pull up in a car like that in HS?"

I call bullshit on that policy though. I never had to carry roommates on my policy....

I mean, isn't there a high likelihood your school has cameras? With all the shit happening in schools in the most recent years, you'd think your average school would have stepped up and gotten cameras in the very least.

I emailed the dean and he said there might be a camera in the area I was parked. He was not sure off the top of his head

I emailed the dean. He said there might be a camera in the area I was parked. I’ve got no idea if the light posts have cameras on them. And I am parked pretty far from the school, so the cameras on the building most likely couldn’t catch it

The scary part is the person that hit your truck might not even been aware it happened.

I have watched that happen to often.

I am 100% sure it was at school. That’s the only place I park other than at home. And no one in my family drives a white car. Also I park passenger side to the house. I could see it when I walked outside

I’m completely appreciative to be alive right now. Just a little annoyed by the other high schoolers.

I feel ya. 18 years ago a kid in the parking lot ran over the front tire of my motorcycle... while I was on it! Sure I was impatient and passing him but still, I was ticked off. Haha. I hope the culprit pays for it but remember, be courteous either way. Dents happen.
