Similar schedule myself this weekend. I did make an A&W root beer float. Does that count as cooking?

I finally figured out why my turn signals weren't working on the 02 SS Camaro. It turns out it was the 20a bus fuse and not the flasher relay or the hazard relay or the front and rear bulbs. :facepalm:Oh well, it's all replaced now. Also, changed the oil and filter and then put a few spirited miles on it. The gas gauge really drops when you have your foot in it. :burnrubber:

:stirthepot: I went with royal purple 5w-30 full synthetic and a Napa filter, because I wanted a change from Mobil and Valvoline. :cookiemonster:

For the gas vs electric yard tool debate I'm 50/50. I love my Stihl stuff, but I recently bought an EGO 650cfm blower with 5ah battery. It's got a ton of power and the battery life is really good. Biggest drawbacks are that it's heavy and bulky. (nose heavy too).

Also, it appears several of you are on east coast time, so good morning in a few hours. :hattip:

    Good morning crew:pccoffee:
Feel like I didn't get much done this weekend even though I got a few things done. My cousin who normally shows on the weekend ran into car troubles, hasn't got that old Dodge insured/plated yet. I missed the car show in town yesterday..no one to walk about w/me:pout:
Today I need to change out one or more of the HV actuator motors in the Impala. From where the noise is coming from leade to believe it's the fresh/recirc actuator. O'Reilly doesn't open at 5 AM unfortunately :D

I prefer petrol powered 2 smoke engines on most things yard n garden but I do have a corded B&D vacuum/mulcher for leaves off the tree in the Fall.

I had/have a couple of these from the 90s. The vac/mulch function is worth it on its own. Can’t say how the new ones if still the same? Are made… The EGO blower is much more powerful though and better control options.

I have used both their blower and mower while visiting cousins in Phoenix AZ. I was impressed with both tools!

Guessing I purchased that B&D mulch vac a few years ago and ordered attachment that goes over a large garbage can and yes they still work outstanding. I blow the leaves to a area then mulch them up. Seems like a half dozen garbage cans of mulched leaves save me a hundred trips with the tow behind dump cart.

Besides my gas Honda mower, I only have a Troy-Bilt 4 cycle string trimmer. I've been on the hunt for a deal on a Dewalt blower since I already have the drill and batteries.

Regarding oil, I put 5W-20 Mobile 1 full synthetic in the Pilot and will be putting 0W-20 Valvoline full synthetic in the Tacoma once the filters are delivered. I jumped between brands because I already had some oil from last time in the garage.

Good morning Wrenchmen, I celebrated Monday by making an onion, tomato and cheese omelet for breakfast. :hungry:
Hope your breakfast is just as inspiring.
I believe they are turning on the rain machine here today. :rain::rain::rain:

Sounds like a good breakfast. I usually eat a similar omelet but cheat and use Pace Picante. My son left some types of hot sauce for eggs, the one is fantastic but the other is overpowering spicy hot; load a picture shortly.
I should get a omelet going whilst waiting for auto parts store to open.

    Oil:
    Truck gets Toyota oil/TRD filter

    All other filters are WIX
Daily van gets Mobil mass market oil
XJ Cherokee, Subaru, 66 wagon, F-250 get a high zinc/phosphor boutique oil due to the flat tappet cams
Mowers/ope with a filter get Kohler oil, splash lube ones use the boutique oil

Mobil 1 in my Tacoma, Castrol synthetic in her Tacoma and my Impala/Malibu, Penzoil Platinum in Jeep everything OEM filters.
I think lawnmowers got Kohler oil and filters last change and they're due again...overdue possibly.

We got a little rain here Fri-Sat, much needed for the yard but not sure if the farmers appreciated it this close to harvest. Some ares right close to me get pretty mud-bogish

The grass roared back to life here. After mowing less than a week ago I had to double cut some of the downtown lawns to look decent. I do not rake!

The Fire Danger was a little much for my taste.

That's the biggest disadvantage of battery powered equipment, whatever brand you start with you need to stick with because of the batteries. I've got family who own Atlas brand from Harbor Freight and they have had good luck with them also.
