One was a mush melon, the other dont know. I did give some 10-10-10 and compost, i didnt get a ph level. It was only 3 plants on the mush melon 2' apart, the other was 2 vines by them selves. Heat heat was good, all were seeds, not lots of fruit on the vines 1 to 2 on the mush melon, 3 maybe on the other

They like it rich and deep watering just enough. I know it sounds opposite of logic but fruits benefit from pruning some of the vines.

My wife always wacks back the newer vines when fruit are set on main vines. No wasted energy on making new fruits.

We got down to 34 last week. I'm surprised my squash survived that, and it only killed one tomato plant.

In the upcoming week, The landscaper is going to hydroseed.

Is it to late in the season to hydroseed?

I would think you would be ok. Fall is a great time for lawns to grow. The weather should be warm enough for the next 6 weeks or so before the ground starts to freeze. I would ask the landscaper the same question though.

Hydroseeding is probably a great thing to do this time of year. Less weeds putting out seeds in the fall so a fresh topsoil surface should result in a very uniform grassy area by next spring. Remember when grass is first established its better to let it grow tall and get a good healthy root system than it is to cut it short to have a clean appearance. Having the grass cut taller actually helps prevent weed seeds from getting to soil and rooting. In the north east you should be cutting your grass so that the grass 3-4" tall.

Would I have a full lawn to walk on?

I ask the landscapers, All he cares about is the money.
