Bro why you got to throw shade at me like that? I already have enough shade underneath my cool ass hat.

I love the oil threads here on TW.

    so much bickering.

I’ve been reading because I finally have to do my own oil changes. So lame lol (don’t even start, I’m lazy AF)

There are literally only two reasons I would ever not change my own oil. 1- I am physically incapable due to injury or recovery from a surgery. 2- A completely unexpected road trip due to some sort of emergency where it was due and was going to be changed soon.

Mobil 1 full synth 5w30. The Extended performance is rated for 20k, I run it 10k intervals. Costs a little more unless you keep an eye out for sales. Walmart does one like 2 times a year on all oil so I snag what I need then. Hence why I have a shelf full of oil in my garage because I always forget I have it and buy more

Then for filter I just bulk buy the Toyota filters. they did a yt on different brand filters and cut em open and more often than not the big name brands are the same as the cheap OEM. I think it's like 12 filters for $30-40. Not bad, and if you have more than one vehicle using the same filter it's a no brainer.

You would have even more shade under your trail limo once you put your suspension on.

I mean what other questions? Use manufacture spec, especially on the 2GR. Use Toyota filters cuz they fit the best and they're actually cheaper than the crap you get in the stores. Also, new crush washer on the drain plug, 20 ft lb when you close it.

5w30 is fine for higher mileage 4.0

On the 3.5, stick to 0W20.

    And 100% on OEM filters

Dunno why you are changing the oil anyway when you are trading it for a f550 soon. Sounds like someone else’s problem

O'Reilley's sells the yota wrenches. No need to cry over those goofy filter housings they designed

    Crappy dealer then.
