The nanny b.s. can be turned off. I kinda like lane departure and collision warning.

And some of us would rather just have the key function...

Give me keys or give me death. One of the reasons I went with the SR5... but mostly I just didn't need to get into a higher level trim....
But - given the choice - I would drive the SR with a Key instead of the SR5 if it was push-button-key-fob start.
I just won't do it. No way no how.

Of course, if you wanted a higher trim lever, say a fully tarted out TRD Pro, just opt for one with three pedals under the dash, and you get a key and no button to push. :)

True dat - but I've been driving manuals for the past 30-odd years. Sold a manual for the SR5. ...
I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for the manual world - needed a break -
Truth be told tho.... even after 18 months of the SR5... I sometimes slip up and try to find the clutch LOL.
Old habits they do die hard.

Better run right out and put a 10k deposit on a truck that's not built yet. Is there a thread for that yet?

Yes it can, and it has been. I got tired of hearing false alerts every time i passed certain homes on these roads.

I bought a 22 SR5 DC 4x4 in June and have been very happy. Going to swap wheels and tires and eventually add sliders and a diamondback bed cover.
