The strangest thing. Every so often, the truck will not charge my phone past 86%. I have no idea why 86, but thats what they stop at. Yes, They, b/c it'll happen to any phone not just my personal one. But the work phone too.
Doesn't matter if it's plugged into the head unit usb or through the cig lighter adapter.

Volt meter reads normally, via scangauge.

Anyone have this happen? Thoughts on why, or a solution?

Interesting. Always assumed it was a power output from the truck. Never knew. Also feel kinda dumb now. Thanks

Just curious, what does your battery health diagnostic say?

Yup, iPhone. The personal phone is 100%, the work phone is 93%.

I never once opened the "battery health" tab on the phone before this.

    Like others said, it’s normal.
It’s implemented into the charging software of the phone.
It is “supposed” to help prolong the life of the battery.
Whether it does or no, I don’t know.

Mine does 1 of 3 things.

    Charges fully to 100%
    Charges to 80%
    Or charges SLOW

When it’s on slow charge, I get a message saying the “estimated” time it will be charged.
It using does this at night when I plug it in before I go to bed.
