It's called no injury hazing. When I joined here, my first post went 12 pages and I was called everything. However, I am almost a boomer so I let that shit run off like water on a duck and it has been on since then.

And, for the silly guy who said boomers have trouble opening .pdfs... Let me know how you do with power pivot tables lol.

I wasn’t saying boomers don’t know how to open pdfs. I just like the argument. I’m gen x, we just sit back and watch it all burn.

    Twice.

The amount of times my Pre-Collision sensor went off--I was approaching a vehicle at a pace that possibly could have caused a rear-end accident.

Both times I applied the brakes as the system "beeped" at me.

Had I not been DIRECTLY paying attention, I may have not stopped in time for sure.

The most recent time, I was in the middle of a lane change going into the left turn lane.

I don't suggest trying it...but the alert was "Louder" than my Lane Departure Alert.

EDIT: My tires did not lock and I did not skid...probably because I didn't slam on the brakes.

    Work in progress...
First time I rented a car at the San Antonio airport, I come out of the rental lot headed for the "upper I-10" on ramp. I'm asking my wife "what the hell is "upper I 10?" Now get this behind an over pass there is a traffic light, and that light is red. Vehicles are traveling at a high rate of speed. You can't even see an intersection little lone a red light. I don't know what kept my foot and the brake pedal from going through the floor board but we stopped with out getting smashed. Anyhow, that rental car was fine. I think it was a Nissan ultimate or something.

It's sarcasm dawg. I was responding to the peanut gallery quipping that OP was looking at his phone or otherwise distracted... Sometimes I forget that sarcasm over text sometimes doesn't convey well.

    Sarcasm.

You COULD also make the argument that airbags, high safety ratings, stability control, pre-collision technology, pretty much any modern car being stable and compliant at high speeds, etc. etc. Lull drivers into a false sense of security and confidence. Distractions are higher than ever, and cars are easier to drive than ever.
