Brand new 2022 SR/SX vibration at around 25 mph

I just bought a new 2022 Tacoma SR 4WD Access Cab with the SX package. It has less than 200 miles on it. I’m getting a vibration at slow speeds around 25mph. No mods. Completely stock. I tried S mode and it still does it. I also tried 4WD high in Drive mode to see if it made any difference. Nope, same vibration. It’s annoying driving around the city with it doing this. Does anybody know what’s causing this? Is there a TSB on this?

 

Ummm, take it back to the dealer? Plenty of things to cause a vibration.

 

yup see your dealer, use that warranty.

 

They'll tell you it's normal, bc it is. Put some weight in the bed and I bet the vibes go away.

 

Thanks for the responses. Service Dept. didn’t have time to take a ride with me. Appointment made. Top tech said that from my description, it’s not normal, which of course I already knew. Came here to see if anyone here is having this same problem on their brand new 2022 Tacoma . Adding weight might help diagnose the problem, but certainly won’t fix the problem.

 

Could be caused by one or more of several different things. Take it to the dealer cause it ain't normal.

 

As everybody said, take it to the dealer for warranty. That definitely doesn't sound normal.

 

I have a new '22 SR DblCab 4x4. Stock everything with 1200 miles on it. No vibrations on mine at any speed. Sorry you're having issues and hope the dealer gets to the bottom of it...

Tire(s) maybe threw a wheel weight throwing one out of balance?

I have the same issue.. at first they told me it was normal and gave me another 22 to drive which also vibrated.. then they said they have received double digit complaints about the same issue... seems like Toyota is trying to brush it under the rug.

It looks like they never addressed the issue from the previous TSB. Dealer would not perform the TSB because 22 models were not listed on it. Pretty disappointed in Toyota.

Sounds kind of weird for a vibration at 25 mph. Usually when some of these trucks are brand new if coasting to a stop, i think its the torque converter breaking in. Other then that it needs to go in for warranty. Op can try slipping the gear shift in netural, and see if the vibration disappears.

not sure about OP. Mine does it in neutral and 4wd.

 

Just to reiterate. Dealership said it’s a “characteristic” and “all 22’s” do it.

 

Take it to another dealership, call corporate. If you accept this answer, you’ve accepted their problem. My 2021 SR is fine, what new changes have been made to the 2022 platform, none.

 

The all vibrate, shake and make noises. Some notice it more than others.

 

Went to another dealership, they ran vin# and said, issue with vibration case already closed so, they could not help.
