Used to think oak leaves were bad for my grass and they had to get raked up. I quit raking and my grass is doing much better :notsure:

I need to put some sort of screen over 3 of the five down spout holes....today. I'll have to use some cheap expanded aluminum stuff used for BBQ grill
    :anonymous:
It's cheap and because I keep forgetting to cut some pieces of scrap SS wire we have in the shop at work.
After this week I'll go to night shift for 5-7 weeks 75 hours a week not including hour and half drive time every day:bananadead:

Good news; just this one motor making all the noise. The motor that switches from outside air to recirc mode. Hopefully I can fit my medium club hand back in there20220919_075411.jpg

Praying for you friend. I pray you are clean and clear for the rest of your days.

Saw all these oil posts, and I figure I'll chime in.
This might ruffle some feathers. I run Mobil 1 Extended Performance for 10k miles on the Tacoma. It's rated for 20k. In fact it used to only be rated for 15k, and they had another line called Annual Performance that was 20k, it did so well they just got rid of the higher end since this stuff runs plenty long. Several members have run it into Blackstone (or wherever it's called) that does testing and said it'd probably even be fine to run longer. A lot of these newer cars are moving to longer oil intervals as well, so the tech is there. Besides, they warranty the engine if it fails due to their oil.

My wife has permanently banned me from cleaning the gutters or getting on top of the house. Guess I'll pay someone to clean the gutters and put some guards up there.

Sounds like a win to me. I don't wanna climb up there. It's a two story drop on the front side.

I have both our vehicles changed at 5000. I trust the oil to where I'm not bothering to send a sample off.

Hopefully it’ll hold, they said they had something broke on the other side as well.

Good call I'll pick some of those up today. This one ficus tree bought the previous owners of my house a new roof in 2017, just had more fall and wrecked part of my fence. Just a pain in the arse tree. And it seeps tarrish like sap. I need to cut it back more before I put a new fence up.

    Morning folks :hattip:

Someone just had to mention oil in here didn't they?

The Tacoma has been getting Mobil 1 0w20 for its free dealer oil changes, but now that those are gone I'm gonna probably stick with Valvoline Synthetic 5w30. I have a couple Baldwin filters from the Camry that I can use up in it. I did do the first break in oil change myself at 4500 miles with Valvoline 0w20 and a Toyota filter.

Subaru will be getting the same Valvoline 5w30. Gotta order some Wix filters for it. They actually make one with the correct bypass pressure.

Mowers right now are being fed Valvoline VR1 Synthetic 10w30, yea the blue stuff. Couldn't get my hands on the Rotella T5 10w30, so it was the next choice.

Why are you changing the weight?

Also, when the time come to change the oil in my wife's Highlander, I'll have to do some planning. It takes 0W16. Pretty sure Walmart doesn't stock that.

I frequent higher RPM's in the truck and go up the mountain a couple times a week, which is absolute Hell on an engine and oil. The Subaru 2.5L is known to consume oil, so I can bump up a grade to help. Hell it even has a section in the owners manual about oil consumption o_O

It's was either this tool or find 5 year old size hands with grip of a gorilla so hopefully this works.
Should have bought one years ago when I seent one slightly smaller diameter, just round and knurled with 1/4 one side 3/8 the other. I better get this done. Going to be 92° or so today20220919_095836.jpg
