Bought my Tacoma at Koons Easton...about a 40+ mile hike from Dover, DE.

A coworker at the time suggested the dealership.

Very much so..."A Transplant". I'm retired military (USAF) and left L.A. in 1986.

FF to present day and wife (Scottish) and married daughters are living on the opposite coast in a Rural/Urban environment.

I think that’s pretty common. I had a shift knob with me when I picked it up, considered pulling the mudflaps at the dealer, or in a hotel parking lot.

I pulled my mud flaps the next day at work. I purchased after work the day before and got out of the dealership at around 8:00 in the evening (I was too hungry to pull ‘em when I got home).

My 1st mod was tinting the windows. Had an appointment set for 1/2 hr after I left the dealer.
Hood protector and OEM running boards were already pre-installed at the dealer before pickup.

 

I had 3 shift knobs with me, different colors.. even though it was an automatic.. have this one in the garage just in case of an emergency. Threw mud flaps on the first night.

 

How hard would that impact be to bend the frame? Would an impact hard enough to bend the frame not cause any damage without the tow hook?

 

My guy came to clean my truck. Even did the engine bay.

 

Now that’s planning for maximum efficiency!
