    Been on that drive and never saw any traffic like that!
    Another very lonely road is from Lakeview, OR through Denio, NV to Winnemucca, NV. Carry extra gas!

    What a great pic!. NEWMAN! I immediately thought of that episode of Seinfeld where Newman wasn't delivering the mail and just storing it in his apartment. Good thing this area wasn't on his route!!

    They are the buckets/beds for mining dump trucks. These are small ones. I've been delayed in Wyoming to see buckets almost twice the size go past.

    This truck is about the size of the one used for the buckets being hauled in the pictures. Small for a mine truck. The big ones would carry two of these trucks easily in their bucket. Imagine what size the truck tires would be for one of the really big buckets. Twice as tall or more.

    I had a second home in Leadville for 16 years (while I could still breath at that altitude…LOL!). Mountain biked Mosquito Pass several times from town along with several others. Awesome views! Leadville was a great place for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Good fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, 4wheeling and plenty of 14eers to climb!
