2015 and 16 supposed to be the best. They switched from timing belt to timing chain. That engine will last forever. I read not uncommon to get 400k plus before you start to notice a decline in performance.

Ah, didn't know they had chains now. That's a huge upgrade to me....less maintenance  I just saw they switched in 2013. Lesson learned for the day :D

Yea my taco and corolla has a timing chain and ill never buy a car with a belt lol. Im mainly looking at the gx for a good faimly car to overland and what not and dd. Id probably throw like a 2inch lift on there some alum skids sliders and call it a day. Possibly a winch insert bumper. Something like this

Around town With 500-600 lbs. in the bed: 13-14.5
Long cross country trips with only a couple hundred lbs. in the back: 15.5-19.2. The farther west I go the better the mileage is. On one tank out in Idaho to Oregon I hit 20 mpg’s.
Long cross county trips with my camp trailer: 9-14, depends on wind.

Yep, used. You got a new 3rd gen, so you will probably be looking for new suspension as well. But I got used for cheap if you want!

HOT SEPTEMBER DAYS: Temperatures reach the mid 90s across most of Alabama today and tomorrow thanks to a large upper high over the region; the sky will be partly to mostly sunny both days. There is actually some risk of a few very small, isolated showers or storms this afternoon during the heat of the day, but odds of any one spot getting wet are only 5-10 percent, so most places stay dry. For Birmingham and many other communities, today will be the tenth consecutive day with no measurable rain.

THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND: Thursday will be another hot day with highs in the low 90s, but a dry cold front will pass through late in the day, and that will provide heat relief for Friday and the weekend. Friday will be a mostly sunny day with a high in the low 80s, and by Saturday morning many communities across North/Central Alabama will dip into the 50s as the “fall feel” returns. Saturday will be a warm, dry day with a high in the mid 80s.

Another cold front will bring a chance of showers to the northern half of the state Sunday afternoon and Sunday night. This won’t be a really big rain event, but some spots could see 1/4 to 1/2 inch over the Tennessee Valley. Ahead of the front clouds will increase during the day, and the high will be in the low 80s.

NEXT WEEK: Showers on Monday will be confined to East and South Alabama, otherwise the sky will clear with a high only in the mid to upper 70s. The rest of the week looks mostly dry and pleasant at this point with highs at or just over 80 degrees on most days. See the daily Weather Briefing video for maps, graphics, and more details.

FALL ALMOST HERE: The autumnal equinox is tomorrow night at 8:03p CT. The sun will illuminate the northern and southern hemispheres equally tomorrow, and we will have approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness.

TROPICS: Fiona is now a major, category three hurricane with winds of 115 mph. It is very close to Grand Turk Island early this morning; the hurricane could reach category four strength tonight as it moves north… and it could be very close to Bermuda by late Thursday night or early Friday morning.

Elsewhere… a tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands is producing a broad area of disorganized showers and
thunderstorms. Gradual development of this system is forecast during the next several days as the system approaches the Windward Islands, and a tropical depression could form toward the latter part of this week or weekend as the system moves into the eastern and central Caribbean sea.

This tropical wave has a very real chance of entering the southern Gulf of Mexico in about 8-10 days, potentially as a significant system. It is important to note there is zero skill in forecasting the placement and intensity of a tropical cyclone more than 7 days in advance, but the pattern does suggest there could very well be a hurricane in the Gulf by the end of next week. If that happens, we just don’t know the final destination. Simply something to watch for now, and we will continue to do just that.

ON THIS DATE IN 1909: A large and deadly Category 3 hurricane made landfall near Grand Isle, Louisiana during the late evening hours. The states of Louisiana and Mississippi showed catastrophic damage resulting in 371 deaths

Just got finished with an interview for a new brake set up guy. He wanted to walk around the shop and see what we do. We walked around and looked at the machines for probably 30 minutes. I asked him if he had any question and he said "Nope, Don't think this is for me and I don't want to waste your time" Now I want to Hire the guy just because of his honesty, I could teach him the brake stuff lol.

You wont be disappointed, The wife and I did a 7 day out of New Orleans for our honeymoon. Best and most economical vacation we have ever been on. All we could eat and drink for a week and seeing 3 tropical beaches all for $1500 with excursion at 2 ports.
