This is his 1965 John Deere 110 my dad gave him. It’s been smoking since I was a kid, the old K series Kohler.

I figure when he gets a tad older we’ll rebuild it and he can learn all about it

I did admit to being cheap, right? Anybody else recycle empty aerosol cans?

Please don't report me to OSHA :anonymous:

Not afraid, just less hassle to buy a $9 undercoating gun.

I do respect a man who takes his repurposing serious.

Looking forward to what else you got up your sleeve.

 I do have an undercoating gun too, but this is handy for small spots and it stays in the can indefinitely, no need to keep cleaning the gun. I have one for Hopper's #9 gun cleaner too. :anonymous:
PS you can buy an undercoating gun for $9.00??? Mine was $28.00 + shipping on sale. That's in :canada: mind you, so closer to $20.00 :oldglory:

The  then :eek::eek: got a good chuckle from me guys. I never seen that trick before but pretty slick!
I know there are small spray cans that can be purchased but very cool to come up with your own like that. Also nice work on that old door mechanism. That thing almost look like it come out of a blacksmith shop.

I use pressure cans.. cheap enough and won’t blow apart if we hold the chuck on it a tad to long..

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Makes prefect sense once the oil level drops to the point it quits smoking time to top it off.

Makes perfect sense to those of us the cut there teeth in the strippins.

I hated those darn mortise locks in my old house. Every time I stripped a door down I retrofitted a modern style lock in them...

The old locks in that house just never worked right. I worked at a building supply at the time and could order whatever I needed to fix them, but the modern locks just worked better. Did I loose some of the originality? A little bit, but the function was far better!

For years I ran an old Ford with a 14hp Kohler K Series, it used volumes of oil but never missed a beat. I finally quit mowing with it when I would have to stop and add oil 1/2 way through the yard.
